Enlisted in USAF Band program from Jul. 1976 - Aug. 2004 and retired as Superintendent of the Band of the United States Air Force Reserve at Robins AFB in Warner Robins, GA. As saxophonist, clarinetist, and flutist recorded/accompanied such artists as Celine Dion, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Restless Heart, The Spinners, 4-Tops, Temptations, Johnny Mathis, B.J. Thomas, Crystal Gale, and Bob Hope. During my 28 year career I performed on 26 studio recordings and performed live to millions of people worldwide. After retiring from the Air Force band program I attended Macon State College and became an RN and have been an orthopedic/post-op surgical nurse at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, GA; of course, I'm still playing most weekends in an R&B band called "The Grapevine Band" and various other musical groups to include the Macon Symphony, The Georgia Big Band, and Harvest Church Band. All in all, between marriage of over 31 Yrs., grandparenting, nursing, church, and performing in GA, SC, FL, and AL, life is very full with all the fun and excitement that I could want.

Performing in every musical event with Mr. Callara at the helm was a wonderful adventure of learning, achievement, leadership, friendship, and just plain fun. A story that I can almost repeat would be hanging out with my closest friends (Kevin Moorehouse, Mark O'Brien, Pete Masterson, Chris Doyle, and my brother Jack) while on break during marching band practice and hearing Mr. Callara over the megaphone shout,"Where's the six assholes so we can get on with practice?" The sound must have echoed through all of Dormont but this name of the six assholes/idiots became our term of endearment throughout our senior year at KO. What a legacy to leave but we all have done very well for ourselves inspite of our highschool antics.
