After TAHS, I went to Pitt BA & MA. Studied in Russia.
Served 20 years as a Naval Intelligence Office & retired as a commander. (Career highlight - on loan to Israel Defense Forces [IDF] during the Gulf War. I was the guy who turned on the sirens during Scud Missile attacks. Surprising for a Greenfield goy, huh?)
Bi-vocational for the next 18 years: assistant pastor of a church, and paralegal/CFO of a large law firm.
Retired again in 2013 to homestead a farm/ranch in East Texas. You are never too old to follow a dream.

So sad to hear she's gone. Needless to say, I thought she was a special girl back in the day.
I had flirtations before, but in 1963, at age 14, Sharon was my first "going steady" girlfriend, and I think I was a first boyfriend for her. The "puppy love" romance didn't last beyond the first year, but we remained friends throughout high school. <<Sigh!>>

I don't do much on this site, but I saw that you joined in. Welcome aboard. I see that you live in Orange Park. I moved 3 to Texas years ago, but for 18 years, I lived in Jacksonville FL. Who knew we were that close??
