Richard D. Johndon, 61, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Sat., Feb 25, 2006 at his home in Plainview. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tues, Feb 28, 2006 at First Baptist Family Life Chapel with Rev. Frank Fincher of Good Hope Baptist Church, Ft. Stockton, Missouri, officiating. Burial will follow in Parkland Memorial Gardens by Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Dick was born July 16,1944 in Abilene to Thomas Webb and Cleo Dora Hodges Johnson. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1963. Dick married Charlene Chaney in Plainview on April 30,1965. He worked at United Farm Industries as Superintendent and Gin Manager for 26 years. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1175 for 17 years and Plainview Bass Club. He is survived by his wife, two sons Tony Johnson and his wife Misty, Tracy Johnson and his wife Ladonna, both of Lubbock; two brothers Allen Johnson and his wife Evelyn, Pat Johnson and his wife Joyce, both of Plainview; one sister Pauline Fincher and husband Frank of Ft. Stockton, Missouri; brother-in-law Herb Chaney and wife Kay of Plainview, sister-in-law Laqueta Garner of Muleshoe; three grandchildren, Tyler, Mackenzie, and Kathryn all of Lubbock; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends from Possum Kingdom Lake. Memorials may be made to Area Community Hospice Foundation, Plainview, Texas or favorite charity.
