Dick Trimble

Charles "Dick" Trimble - Funeral services for Charles "Dick" Trimble, 60 will be at 10:00 a.m. Sat. in First Presbyterian Church in Plainview with the Rev. Drew Travis, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley Funeral Home. Dick died Tues. Jan 31, 2006, at Covenant Lakeside Hospital; in Lubbock. He was born Aug. 19, 1945 in Amarillo to Wayland "Scooter" and Martha lois Trimble. He moved to Planview in 1958, graduated from Plainview High School in 1963 and attended West Texas State University. He was employed by Amarillo Hardware from 1965-66, then employed by Marrow Thomas Hardware as a salesman in Amarillo form 1966-69. From 1969-70 he worked at Zork Hardware in Albq. and at Amarillo Hardware from 1970-91. He was co-owner of Science and Service, currently in Amarillo and Olton. It was founded in 1991. He also was co-owner off B&T Ag Distributing, currently in Amarillo. It was founded in 1993. He owned Trimble Farms Inc., currently in Plainview. It was founded in 2000. He was active in Texas Cattle Feeders Association and Texas Water Utilities Association. He was an Elder at First Presbyterian Church in Plainview. He married Lynda "Lynn" Hendrick on Nov. 26, 1965, in Amarillo. Survivors include his wife, one daughter and son-in-law Jody and Monty Rogers of Odessa, his mother, Martha Trimble of Amarillo; one brother and sister-in-law Joe and Jonnie Trimble of Harker Heights, one sister and brother-in-law Mary Martha and Rod Magee of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Ryne, Kelsi and Kole Rogers all of Odessa. His father Wayland Trimble is deceased. The family suggest memorials to First Presbyterian Church.

Dick died of a brain tumor.
