Delta Walker Smith - Funeral services for Delta Walker Smith, 52, of Memphis, will be at 2 p.m. Tues. in First Christian Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Delta died at 1:25 a.m. Sat.,Sept 27,1997, in Baptist-St. Anthony Hospital in Amarillo. She was born Jan.29th, 1945 in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School in 1963 then attended West Texas State A&M University in Canyon. In Palinview, she owned the Smith Agency and was a former President of the Plainview Board of Realtors. She worked at the Swisher County Farm Services Agency in Tulia before becoming the County Executive Director of Zavala County in Uvalde. She was serving as County Executive Director for Hall County in Memphis. She was a member of Tasco and current President of the Memphis Country Club Women's Association. She had coached T-Ball in Plainview and Tulia for several years.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Adam Wright of Plainview; her parents Dale and Jean Walker of Plainview; a sister and brother-in-law Michele and Frank Devin of Tulia; a brother and sister-in-law Frank and Nancy Walker of Plainview,and one grandson Conner Dale Wright of Plainview, 3 nieces and two nephews.
