The Pound and Wise Lions Clubs are attempting to assist the bands of JW Adams, LF Addington, and Central High School in purchasing instruments. If you were in the band you know the importance of your music instruction. If you were not in the band you can still remember the contributions that the bands made to the schools and the communities. We want to help keep the tradition going.

Last year 16 students could not take band at Central because they did not have an instrument. Lions Clubs are attempting to better the situation by doing a fundraising project to assist in the purchase of instruments.

Pound and Wise Lions Clubs will be having raffles, bake sales, and other events to raise funds and then apply for a matching grant. Monetary donations are appreciated and can be mailed to either club at the following addresses:

 

We would also love to have used instruments which could be refurbished. Please participate in these fund raising efforts and support our band programs.
