Since 1980? You've gotta be kidding. I went to BYU right away and spent a year. In 1981-82, I went to Bogota Colombia as a missionary for the church. Married Cindy Gate from Keewatin, Ontario, in December 1983 (We met at BYU). Graduated from BYU with a BS in Cartography (that's map making) in December '85. Commissioned a 2Lt in the Air Force at the same time. Went to Laughlin AFB, Texas for Pilot Training in May '85. Didn't make it through pilot training and left Laughlin AFB, Texas, in May '86. Completed a commercial pilot license in July '86. Went back to BYU for a year and then to dental school in Iowa '88-'92. Have practiced dentistry in Kenora, Ontario since 1992 in a solo practice. Write a weekly column in the newspaper about dentistry. Girls born in 1987, 1990, and 1994. These days, I do a lot of fishing, hunting, motorbiking, and photography. My latest achievement was to walk over the mountains to Machu Picchu in Peru for 4 days with my oldest daughter. Latin America still calls to me and I go there at least once every couple of years to do volunteer dentistry or just to goof off. Right now, the snowmobile is ready to go this weekend into the forest with the guys. It's a fun life here!
