I graduated from University of Texas at Tyler in the 80's. I taught private schools in the Mesquite area. I got married in 1988. We moved back to the East Texas area for awhile-Mineola. Moved around and was able to teach at Mineola, Hillsboro, Liberty-Eylau in Texarkana and currently have been with Paul Pewitt for 11 years. My oldest graduated in 2009 and has been in Salt Lake City on scholarship and my youngest will attend University of Arkansas at Monticello on band scholarship upon graduation 2011. In between Jr. College and University I was able to travel the U.S. playing and recording music with LeAnn Womack's ex-husband and his family formerly from Gilmer. What an experience!! My children and my folks have been very blessed to travel all 50 states and see this awesome country God has made. Nov. 21-27, 2010 my parents celebrated 50 years of marriage. So Jerald, Darla, myself and our families took everyone on a family cruise. I am thankful for them and the education and the inspiring teachers we were fortunate enough to have at Quitman High School.
Pat Neighbors thank you for your inspiration and the way you molded us. I tell everyone how we had 12 Seniors on the Volleyball team and my job was to serve the ball and head back to the bench. Did not care for volleyball much--liked my basketball. How ironic that I have coached Volleyball for many years now.
The team of 1980 was awesome....
