Married to Joan Matthews for 47 years this coming August. Have raised 3 wonderful daughters and now have 8 wonderful grandchildren. I still work full time at Baker Roofing Company which I enjoy very much. When I am not working, Joan and I can be found spending time with family going to the mountains and the coast or attending church functions. Our favorite non profits are The Boys and Girls Club of Wake County, Wake County Salvation Army, and Akikis Kids (orphanage in Uganda). I am very involved with my Wake Forest University Alma Mata, have served as president of the Wake Forest Alumni Council and now serve on the University Board of Visitors. I personally enjoy tennis and golf.
