In private law practice 42 years.Unusual practice. 13 jury trials my first year in practice. Lots of work before the NC Court of Appeals ( where I clerked ) and the NC Supreme Court) Taught appellate practice to new attorneys for 5 years. Represented all 4 medical schools on organ and tissue procurement and transplant , 23 school systems , 7 community colleges , 10 mental health centers and lots of towns , cities , counties and state agencies and other public bodies ( i.e. The Roanoke Island Historical Association DBA " The Lost Colony". Am a Hearing Officer for the State of NC for cases involving dismissal of tenured teachers and cases involving handicapped children. Also serve as a Mediator and Arbitrator. It s been an interesting life. Love my clients !
