Yolo County crash claims Sutter man's life

A Sutter County man died after he lost control of his van and struck a tree in Yolo County on Tuesday, the California Highway Patrol said.

The Yolo County Coroner's Department identified the man as Byron James Miracle Jr., 48, of Robbins, Sutter County.

The CHP reported that at about 7:50 p.m. Tuesday Miracle was driving west on County Road 22, west of County Road 17, near Interstate 5 when his van began to drift to the left across the double-yellow center line.

Miracle made a sharp steering correction and lost control. He drove off the paved road and onto the dirt and grass shoulder.

His van then spun, and the driver's-side door struck a tree, according to a CHP report. Miracle died at the scene.

E-mail sent from Trinka's Brother Allen Orville-

Trinka called at 7AM on Dec 16, 2009,  to tell me that her husband, BJ Miracle, died in a one-car crash on the way home from work last night at ~7PM pacific time. He is survived by his parents, Ruby and Byron James Miracle, two brothers, his wife of 29 years, Katherine "Trinka" Orville Miracle, their two children, Byron James Miracle III, and Jennie Miracle, two grand children, and many nieces and nephews. He was happy and went fishing almost every day.

A ringneck pheasant (the SD state bird), lit by the early morning sun, was flying between traffic on the William Floyd Parkway, and right in front of our windshield on the way into Brookhaven Nat'l Labs this morning (12/16/2009). That was the first pheasant I've ever seen on Long Island, NY, and I take it as a nice sign from BJ ...

Words alone can't express our sorrow for your loss. We will all be holding our memories close to our hearts. May God's peace be with you.

I am so thankful that we lived life to the fullest! I didn't expect you to be gone in a blink of an eye. My last touch was giving you a kiss and hoping you would have a good day while you were still sleeping, yet you did tell me to have a good day and gave me a kiss too. The last words we spoke were "I love you". Thank you for 29 years, Your Wife for Life! I LOVE YOU - Me

There is not space or time, so I won't!  Love one another in your life today.  If fighting - make up, life is too short.  Smile, smell the flowers, enoy each moment.  Peace be with you!

I would just like to say a few things about Byron or BJ as I knew him. BJ lived 2 doors down from me for many yrs. BJ and his brothers had a pretty good sibling rivalry but we had many good times as kids. BJ came to several of my birthday parties and probably was the life of the party as I remember I wasnt a vary good host. BJ always treated me with respect and I still remember shaking his hand at graduation as if we had conquered the world. He will be missed in a big way and I know in my heart that he is in a better place, peaceful and smiling on us. God bless BJ!! Your friend forever..Jamie.
