Karen Eskridge Baluk

After HS, I attended Shasta College for two years, worked at Sambo's for a year, then I lived in Bend, Oregon for 15 months.
I moved back to RB and worked for CHP for one year, and the Tehama County Sheriff's Office for 6.5 years, until 1986, when we married and moved to Porterville, CA (Russ worked for CDF.)
We lived in Porterville for 3 years, where I worked for 1.5 years as a secretary at a local HS.
In 1988 our daughter, Kristin, was born, and we decided I would be a stay-at-home mom.
In 1989 we returned to RB, and before Christmas 1990 Michael joined us.
In 1996 I went to work for the RB Elementary School District as an Instructional Assistant, so I could work only while the kids were in school.
Russ retired in 2007 and I retired in 2011.

Update: I've been a live-in caregiver for my Mom since Dec 2022. Still married to Russ; he's at our house a mile away, and I'm at Mom's house.
