It's hard to believe that half a century has passed since we put our collective toes in the "all grown up" waters. Our lives have probably vacillated between very bad to terrific. I know that mine has. After Thurston, I did both my undergraduate and graduate education at Wayne State. We just didn't have enough money for me to go away to school. I loved art but I also loved to eat on a daily basis - ergo - High School Art Teacher for ten years
I became bored and joined Michigan Bell in the sales dept. My career took me thru national sales and ultimately international advertising in Chicago and New Jersey. While in New Jersey for my first tour of duty, I married a wonderful man, Carl, and enjoyed ten years with him before a brain stem stroke took him from us.
In 1998, AT&T offered 15 thousand of my closest NJ colleagues an extraordinary retirement package. Being a THS graduate I immediately saw it's benefits and joined the ranks of retired America.
I met my current husband shortly after the 9/11 disaster. He worked in the World Trade Center. God stepped in and saved Bruce for me. We've been together since then. We live in a beautiful rural community in New Jersey and enjoy the world around us.
