Rhein Main Fall 2026 Reunion

Hello everyone!  Stan and I visited Myrtle Beach yesterday to check out all of our accommodations -- this is going to be an OUTSTANDING reunion!!  

In order to be ready for you on arrival, we're requesting you fill in the form below and return the completed form to Stan (rmvets@gmail.com) and Carole (carolelail6@gmail.com) so we can have your welcome packages, nametags, etc., all set when you arrive.  

We are also closing in on the time when we have to confirm attendance at Thursday's Icebreaker, lunch on Thursday at Cafe Old Vienna, dinner on Friday at Horst Gasthaus, and our Celebration Dinner on Saturday at the Original Benjamin's Calabash Seafood Restaurant - please indicate whether or not you will attend any of those activities on the form. 

The $25 you pay for the Icebreaker (when you arrive at the reunion) will cover snacks/refreshments in the Hospitality Room for the duration of the reunion.   You will pay the restaurant(s) directly for your meals.

Please call the Resort directly to make your reservations (do NOT use the Resort website, as you will NOT get the reunion discount.)  Be sure to tell them you're with the Rhein Main Reunion when you call!  Don't forget that the deadline to get the reunion discount is OCTOBER 1, after which you will be charged the standard rate.

We have coordinated a very nice hotel.  Its one of the best resorts in Myrtle Beach.
I've posted our hotel information today. You are encourage to book -- ASAP !!

I'm very delighted with the room rates and all the amenities that we will have. 
The hotel is taking great care of us.

MORE GREAT NEWS 

On Thursday evening of our reunion,  WE WILL HAVE OUR   "ICE BREAKER CELEBRATION"
This will be held in our Hospitalty Room.  More information to follow on this.
Hospitality Room will be located in  Tower 3, on the 2nd Floor.

On Friday evening of our reunion, we are working a great surprise.

Social hour: 5:30pm
Dinner:         6:00pm

On Saturday evening of our reunion, FOR OUR REUNION CELEBRATION DINNER,
we will be dining in one of the BEST SEAFOOD RESTAURANTS
in Myrtle Beach.  

Most everyone having been to Myrtle Beach, has at least heard of:
THE ORIGINAL BENJAMIN'S CALABASH SEAFOOD RESTAURANT.
One of the largest seafood "buffet" restaurants in town.
If you like crab legs, this includes unlimited amount.
If this is your first time dining their, the staff will give you a tour of the various areas of where
the buffet is located.

To include a bit of romance, our dining room will overlook the Intracoastal Waterway.
The price of this buffet, is usually over $50 per person, but we coordinated a price of only
$34 (all inclusive). (please be sure to tip your wait staff accordingly)

Note: We'll be taking a head count for those that will be attending this dinner.
We MUST give a Head Count, 7 days prior our event.

Around 7pm, we'll begin with our 2026 Rhein Main Fall Reunion Program. 

We are coordinating other events, but will disclose these, once we have confirmed everything.

ATTENTION  --  ANYONE WANTING T-Shirts, Hats, etc
I've coordinated with the company that I get our T-Shirts, Hats, etc from, to create an online store,
for you to be able to order anything you want.  (Size, color, amount, etc) 
Its impossible to stock all of these items for each reunion.
Go online and order whatever you want, then proudly wear them at the reunion.
I will have a few Rhein Main ball caps at the reunion.

70 Years Berlin Airlift Anniversary Beer Stein

This German stein celebrates the 70th Anniversary of the Berlin Airlift (1948-2018).  Gold text encircles the base reading "Berlin Airlift ~ 70 Jahre ~ Luftbrücke Berlin ~ 70 Years". 

Relief vignettes of important Berlin landmarks wrap around the body, including the Reichstag, Siegessaule, Gedachtnis-Kirche, Brandenburger Tor, Schloss Charlottenburg, Checkpoint Charlie and the Dom. 

The top banner reads "Deutschland" "Germany" and the German state coat of arms encircle the base.  The front banner reads "Berlin" held by a black bear - a symbol of Berlin.

A stunning lid with relief crossed USA & German flag is finished with a 3D solid pewter figurine of a plane.

Historical Background (printed on certificate that is included with purchase)

In 1948 Russia tried to claim West Berlin once and for all by starving them out.  Water and power was cut.  All ground transportation closed.  Consequently, the US decided to supply the 2.5 million people of West Berlin via air.  Over 200,00 flights in less than 11 months were flown in providing to the West Berliners up to 8,893 tons of necessities, such as food and fuel, each and every day.  By the spring of 1949, the airlift was clearly succeeding and on May 12, 1949 the Soviets lifted the blockade giving up their efforts. 

Berliners have never forgotten this gracious help to keep their city alive and they continue to celebrate the anniversary of the Berlin Airlift until this very day.
