HARRY LEE MEAUX 1/4/1945 - 7/5/2006 Harry Lee Meaux, age 61, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2006 in Harrison, Arkansas, after a fight with Lou Gehrig’s Disease (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis/ALS). Harry was the son of Dalton and Louise Venida Trahan Meaux, born in Kaplan, Louisiana on January 4, 1945. Harry was preceded in death by his parents and youngest sister, Cathy Cormier. He is survived by his wife Sheila of Harrison, AR, three sisters; Phyllis Benoit and Judy Armand of Crowley, Louisiana and Eve Duhon of Kirkland, Washington, one brother, Dalton Meaux of Great Falls, Montana. He is also survived by many loved nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. Harry proudly served in the United States Air Force for 28 years and achieved the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He was a member of several Air Force associations. He also enjoyed gardening and cooking, especially his favorite Cajun recipes, and was noted as being a huge Cardinals baseball fan. He traveled extensively and particularly enjoyed downhill skiing in Europe.
