Diana S. Wallace, 81, of Cantonment, Florida, went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving family on June 29, 2024. She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia on June 22, 1943 to Mr. and Mrs. George Barron and Elizabeth Strickland. She was a graduate of Toms River Highschool in New Jersey, class of 1962. She was married at McGuire Air Force Base to Kenneth C. Wallace for 60 years. They traveled the world in the US Air Force, retired and moved to Pensacola, Florida in 1982.

Diana worked for the Air Force Base Exchange and managed Gradlyn Kennels Pet Shipping Company at Lufthansa Cargo Airport Germany. After moving to Florida, she worked and retired from Colonial Baking Company. She had a beautiful and infectious smile, she loved everyone and everyone loved her. Diana loved the Lord with all her heart to get through her Alzheimer’s Disease. She enjoyed doing ceramics at Leah’s Ceramics where she earned many blue ribbons in the Pensacola Interstate Fair. Also, she liked to make beautiful quilts, sewing, loved collecting all kinds of elephants and hummels and helping volunteer with the Red Cross Operation Baby Lift our of Vietnam at Clark Air Force Base.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Margaret Barron and Betty and John Strickland; brother, George Scott Tilton.

She is survived by her loving husband Kenneth C. Wallace of 60 years; daughters, Denee` Marie (Paul) Rudd, Sherri Lynn (James) Purvis; son, Kenneth (Stephanie) Wallace; grandson, Randall Purvis; granddaughters, Alexis Kotterman, Trinity Wallace, Skylar Wallace, and Alyssa Simmons; great granddaughter, Millie; brothers, Joe (Connie) Strickland, Mitch (Bobbie) Danford and Jack Strickland.
We would love to thank all of her caregivers for the last 3 years, Fiona Geldbaugh (her special friend) took care of her for 2 years at the Wallace home before going to Waterford at Creekside Memory Care. Special angels, Aleaha, Emiah and Ann, and Sarah, her hospice nurse at Emerald Coast Hospice. Olive Branch special angels, Quita King, CNA for over and beyond the call of duty. Helping us with around the clock nurses for our mom. We couldn’t have done it without you, Jennifer (nurse), Steve (nurse) and James (nurse), Beronica, CNA and all the staff. This was the 12th year of Alzheimer’s for Diana.
Pallbearers will be James Purvis, Randall Purvis, Mike Bickers, Tim Poppell, Mark Holmes, Guy Baker and Pearce Baker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gold Wings Motorcycle Club.

Funeral services will be held on July 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Faith Chapel Funeral Home, 1000 S. Highway 29, Cantonment, Florida 32533. Visitation will be prior to service from 10:00 until 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 1:00 PM. Officiating will be Pastor Mike Mashburn.
In lieu of flowers, you may donate in Diana’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
