Piekut, I will be your forum sponsor. Repeat after me, I am not going to spend all day writing in the forum while I wear a full leather racing suit.

Admitting the problem is the first step

What's for dinner at the Irish Pub? I am hoping for a tall Irish Red Ale and Corned Beef... So where is the "Pre-Reunion" get together? There has to be a "Pre-Reunion" hookup joint.... Any ideas?

dave - you seemed to miss a couple of your persoanl favorites . vanilla ice and rico sauve ... i can see you , a mirror and that full leather racing suit ... damn , now i'm going to have to think of that all day ! bill - i need intervention !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bryan Riess (Riess)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't a pre-reunion get-together then become the reunion itself?

It's hard to say, but I'm a forum addict. Maybe the pre-reunion get-together should be a therapy session or an intervention.

I think a Pre-Reunion Get Together would actually be a discussion to see if we actually want to show up to the Real Reunion.

Bryan: The Pre-Reunion would be like a Pre-Superbowl Kick Off Party. Building the hype of the Actual Reunion.
Who knows the final Cub game might be on in one of the Madison Street Pubs. Plus it would be a great opportunity to tell Mr. Riess Gym Stories, though that might be limited to Brook Park Elementary :) And not R.B.

Boz: What's Up Man? You enjoying the Baseball Season this year?

I can't believe that so many of you don't remember Pete doing a cartwheel as we were walking into the stadium. Mr. Hufford pulled him out of the line and didn't let him stay to graduate with us. The poor guy went down yelling and screaming and noone remembers?? Please tell me I wasn't imagining it...

Shawn- How can you not remember Katie's Blue Malibu??
And Katie, the Smirnoff Survivors were a group of girls that sat in Matt Egans driveway on a school night and passed a bottle of Smirnoff around until it was gone. They had so much fun that they tried to do it every Thursday night, at least that's what I remember hearing about them.

Kathleen Hull (Redmond)

Fran, you weren't imagining anything at graduation. Due to my place in the alphabet, I saw Mr. Hufford pull Pete. I still think it was a terrible thing to do to a kid who was just celebrating. And yes, we should've all marched out in protest. Unfortunately, we were in too much of a daze to think quickly.

I remember Smirnoff Survivors. Are there any others out there?

Pre-reunion get together - Duffy's just a couple doors down from Slainte, Doc Ryan's ... I know Docs has an OPRF reunion in their private room that night.

Fran, Pete and the boys were doing a little pre grad celebrating at the zshing, I think hufford busted him drinking

09/23/08 12:07 PM #156

Kelly Merson (Hollimon)

Yeah, Pete got pulled for being drunk. Matt Miller was loaded, too. Matt, if you're out there, do you remember saying something truly horrendously vile to me in the hallway right before we marched out to the field, and I slapped you really hard? You must have been pretty damned drunk, because you literally wend DOWN from that. Tornabene and someone else I can't remember had to hold you back from pummelling me after that. Niiiiiice. You marched onto the field with a big slap mark on your face!

Hey, does anyone else remember Joe Meslin running from his locker every morning into the gym, chasing whatever pretty girl he saw at that moment? Truly a sight....

Boz - What was the article? I haven't been on Waveland since I got Sosa's 61st HR in 1998. I am in Cali right now trying to chase down my 100th game home run caught.

I just can't shake baseball. I have been working in Minor League Baseball for a little over 10 seasons now.

The great thing is all the players in the Big Leagues that I saw over the years not to mention basically not having to pay for tickets anymore!

Hopefully I get to see the Cubs play the Dodgers in LA in the NLCS! I really can't lose this post-season I have the Cubs, Angels and probably the Dodgers and White Sox in the playoffs!

If they play the Dodgers come out and go to a game!

Speaking of 80's music I just saw FOREIGNER this past weekend in Vegas!

Fran I seem to recall your white Chrysler New Yorker (I think) having a couple of Smirnoff meetings in it!! Maybe it was the LeBaron?

Matt Egan - now there is a name

Did anyone "live Chat" with Tony Molenda via his website??

09/23/08 01:18 PM #160

Gina Koren (Bacci)

Ummmmm..... sad :( to say I fell for what I think is a Joke....

I don't think it is a real "live chat" thing. When you try to chat he gets out of his chair and goes away.

09/23/08 01:20 PM #161

Kelly Merson (Hollimon)

Yeah, Gina - I think you're right; I checked it out this morning, and then again this afternoon. Interesting that he was rocking in his chair and then eating soup or something, BOTH times. Hmmmmm......

Matt Miller

Kelly, no offense -- but I wouldn't know you if I tripped over you. Anywho, feel free to come up slap me all over again at the reunion.

Karen, It was Fran's parents Chrysler Cordoba (sp). We just had this discussion the other day. I think if I drank straight vodka now I would die!!! How did we do that and then get up for school the next day??? Probably ditched!

Oh for goodness' sake, Matt - we were two lockers apart for four freakin' years!

I'd come and slap you at the reunion, but I'm afraid I might kill off the last remaining brain cell! ;)

09/23/08 01:38 PM #165

Kelly Merson (Hollimon)

Matt - I'm just kiddin', bro. Congrats on the new bundle of joy.

I thought Fischer was the only one with the Chrysler Cordoba with authentic Corinthian leather!

Dont know how we did it but that is why we are called SURVIVORS :)

Wow, this message forum has taken off! Chuck Enge, a real salt-of-the-earth guy. My fondest memory of him is when he told Bob Zid not to jeopardize his bright future by hanging around a Scum-Bag like me.
