Stefanie Lugar

First of all, I just want to say thank you to everyone for their well wishes and prayers. Please keep them coming; I don't think I'm out of the dark quite yet. You all brought tears to my eyes when I read the forum and the individual messages you all sent.

Secondly, now I know why you guys kept trying to kiss me at lunch, you were just trying to fulfill Troy's wishes. Sorry I was so distant when you guys were in my face like that. It was just a little uncomfortable for me but now that i know why, I am at ease.

And last but not least, thank you DJ GT for the Long dist. dedication. It was beautiful and oh so true. But you will have to remind me of the secrets I told bc I don't know any seeing that i've lived my life at Lewis Gale since Dec.

I sincereley adore all of you and would do anything in the world for any of you. Thank you all for trying to visit me at the hospital, unfortunately I was so ill, i couldnt handle visitors most days and for you all that made it up there, thanks for putting up with me moaning and groaning.

Kelly, Thanks for being my taxi driver, my chef, my nurse, my house cleaner, my dog entertainer, my sounding board and my shoulder to cry on when i needed it and anything else i have forgotten. You have been one great friend!

Oh yeah and you, Mr. Eric Goacher!!! THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH for shoveling my driveway, my sidewalk and the damn sidewalk that the city should be responsible for in front of my house but they leave it to us, well you in this case. It was such a sweet suprise for you to just show up and do that. Cant thank you enough.

And Jolee, thank you so much for checking on me almost everyday and wanting to come up to the hospital to make sure i was getting proper care. You never gave up on that and were ready to break out a can of woop ass if they werent. You were going through a lot yourself and still had time to check on me to make sure i was ok. Thank you for that! You have been a great friend.

Lugar, you have me all teared up. We are a one of a kind class...we truly are a family...at times close, at times need our space, but when it comes down to it...we are there for each other. I don't think people realize the seriousness of what you went through...that is why I was trying so hard to make sure you were ok. You have earned the Purple Heart and Kelly has earned the Congressional Medal of Honor. DJ GT gets the grammy...Erik takes home the Ironman Championship trophy...

We are what we are....and that is family.

LOVE YOU LUGAR!!!!

It's so nice to read great things on this forum...All of you are wonderful generous people and I am so thankful to have all of you in my life. I cant wait to come home and make new memories...Laura, Jolee, Kelly, Eric, thanks for taking care of Lugar even though I know she fought you the entire time. I can hear her saying it's ok it's ok...but the Class of 88 is very special!!!!

Lugar, girl..you need to get better and as everyone has already said take your time getting better....

Less than 4 months I am home for good!! I miss you all!

Ok, Skydive update...looking at the weekend of August 6 (fri) through the 8th (sun)...what a perfect time to celebrate all of us taking the 40 plunge.

At some point we need a strong headcount, and deposits in June.

03/02/10 09:02 PM #2527

Ken Haines

Yeah, I can try to answer any skydiving questions here or on Facebook, either one.

Deposit is $50, it is non-refundable. It can, however, be transferred to another day if for some reason you had an emergency come up.

Costs will depend on how many people we get. Standard Tandem rate is $255. Video and stills (if you want to get them, which you may well if this is a once in a lifetime deal for you) are $110, I think.

You would arrive (8, 10, 12, 2, 4 I believe are arrival times) fill out waivers, get trained which takes about 20 minutes, then they would put you on loads. Usually 3-4 tandems go up on a load and they would try to arrange for you to go w/ who you wanted. It could take several hours for everybody to get up, though, so just be aware of that.

Anyhow, that's some basic information.

Vicky Lakes (Fuller)

Troy - sorry I missed ya, but everyone there will treat you right...I know first hand. I had the best time ever with all my NHS peepers. I have pictures of proof...hahaha and I will keep those to myself.

Erik and Kelly - thanks for the laughs Friday night...hopefully there won't be any YouTubes of that karoke popping up later...and I never realized just how many na na nas were in that song.. LOL Kelly, when in PA you have my number...we could so paint Philly Red.

Jolee - I've not laughed so hard in a long time...two words..metal detector. LOL. It's all about the men in uniform isn't it. If he would have done the wand on you I think I would lost it. Thanks for helping me out with my errands.

Trina - Girl, sorry Lexi was sick, but glad you got to come out and play. Can't wait to see you in April...still working on the logistics. Guess I'm gonna have to finish my painting... next time you won't have to cut me off at say 9? I told John that you and I have this parralle life going on and we all needed to have a couples retreat...he and Rob would hit it off good. Working on that too. LOL

Diane - So glad to see you...been too long. Wish I'd been able to do Ippys with you, but after Friday night, whew, I'm too old for that.

Perry - You guys Rock. You're the bomb...at least you are good at something, since FFL is not it..LOL. Glad I got to see you...did I buy your drink? I never did look at the tab, and they were supposed to put yours on mine.

Ok, so next time I am in town, I'm bringing the spouse...so you guys will be convinced that I do have a husband...LOL. Will have to plan a bigger outing...and start sooner.

Vicky ~ 3/5/05...a day that will live in infamy forever....and yes, with all the hype regarding men in uniform and my affinity for them....if that officer hand wanded me...I would have spontaneously combusted for sure...AS IF! Uniforms, flashing blue lights, wands....who needs foreplay?!?!? Come back soon!!
