Kim, I am right there with you...for those that read the "Had a rough day" sparked an investigation posting...well two days later my migrane has finally left but I think it will return before it's over. After 4 meetings with the principal, the asst principal, both of them together, the guidance counselor, the teacher it involved, it's finally resolved, not exactly to my satisfaction, but I learned that nobody is going to stand up for your child except you. She learned a life lesson yesterday. People that you think are you best friends aren't necessarily, and sometimes it's the un-expected person that sticks their neck out for you.

For your situation, and because of what we have been going thru, get the notes, print the page from myspace, whatever you can do for proof. And dont' dismiss anything, document everything, have you daughter discuss her situation with a guidance counselor or a teacher she likes, get it documented in the school so when it all blows up you have the proof of what has been going on...and not "hear-say". Kids will be the first to instigate stuff but when it comes back around they will immediately forget so they don't have to be pulled into anything. I firmly believe if we would have found out sooner than later that this teacher called my child a whore to the class, she would be in the unemployment line...but it was swept under the rug as hear say...never mind she said it to her face...and out of all her so called friends, one person stood up for her, but that was one of 6 so it was dismissed just as quick.

Man I have missed a lot of posts, there is no way I can catch up. I called Beth Stewart today and had her catch me up of some details. She said that Mike's memorial was canceled, when I logged on I noticed the front page stated the same thing.
Jolee what happened? Did someone think it was a bad idea? Sorry to ask all the question, I am just shocked. A lot can transpire in two weeks!
So are we still doing the memory books for the kids?

What time and where are we meeting for the tailgating? Are we doing a pot luck thing or are we all fending for ourselves?

Ok Kelly, sounds like??? First letter? Time for a 2nd hint. Could it have been anyone from Hee Haw? They sang on that show too ya know? For your sake, I hope not! I didn't start this, Greg did. Remember? Thanks Greg!

Greg- You're right about the 7-eleven job. I asked about bringing the laptop during my interview today and the mgr. said it wouldn't be a problem since it's slow during that shift. He knows me well bc I use to take Tanner in to get him a slurpee, hot dog, corn dog, lottery ticket, you name it. They no longer let dogs in there bc of the new management. They lost my business when they did that. I still stop in from time to time on my way home or in the mornings on my way out to pick up a 40 oz of Colt 45. Nothing like a 40 oz of Colt 45 first thing in the morning. I'm sure you already know that.

Kim Booth- Good to hear from you. Sounds like you've been through a lot in the past several years. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you will make it to the HC Game. It will be nice to see you.

So what's up with the food/beverage situation at the game? BYOF and BYOB I take it. Does anyone know the specifics??? Who all is headed out on Sat. night and where?

Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!!!
Nite.

If anyone wants to get their tail in my gate (for homecoming) let me know. So far it's just me and Shannon. I'm thinking we should try to consolidate because parking will be at a premium that night. I have a bit to offer about the back-biting girls that I'll share tomorrow.

Carla- I'll call you tomorrow...you working?

Shannon- call me when you get a chance; not sure if you're subbing.

Nighty night.

Sorry about the rhetorical questions. Didn't read the last page until after I posted. Yes, I'm a dork and that is Gregs fault too. Don't know who these Nelson guys are so Kelly, you're still pretty cool in my book.

Kristen, I'm here. I don't come out til late night remember? I don't start the new gig at the local 7-Eleven til next week.

Jolee- Next time I'm in 7-Eleven I'll ask the guy if he knows you. They are all really nice in there. I just don't like their new mgmnt bc of the 'No dogs allowed rule'. The employees don't like it either. You're still welcome to my couch too by the way. I was quite grossed out by the description of your student w/ the tenicles. Oooh! Don't worry, I have a skull, maybe a portion of a brain and I'd like to keep it that way too. I am much more conservative in my older age.
Oh and by the way, I think tailgating means that the guys prepare and/or bring all the food/beverages. Thats the way I understand it. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think I am. What time are we starting the whole sha-bang? If your hubby doesn't want to drive you around, we can always take a cab.

Kim B.- Nothing personal but I have to say I'm so glad I don't have children. I think I would be the most overprotective parent EVER! I would probably go to that kids house, grab her by the hair and I wouldnt let go nor leave til she understood every word I said. Then I would be arrested and spend yrs in jail and my kids would be put in foster care. Kids are so cruel and I think a lot of that went on when we were in school too. Sounds like it may be worse now. Thank goodness Tanner just goes to Dog Daycare where fighting, texting and myspace pages aren't allowed. Speaking of myspace, why does this kids mother have a myspace page? Is that typical?

Jolee- Oh my goodness, do you really think I'm at Happy's FM on the weekends? I was kidding and NO I do not sell haircare products ever anywhere. Are you kidding?
Ok now I'm really going to bed. I promise! Gotta be ready w/ all those bearskin rugs and haircare products so early in the morning. lol.

Stef: I think tailgating means that the guys prepare and/or bring all the food/beverages. Thats the way I understand it. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think I am.

This only really applies if there is a grill involved.

Stef~ Just picking on the Happy's thing...I think...you're so damn funny, I just am not sure if you are kidding or not sometimes...lol!

As for the tailgaiting...someone is going to have to make an executive decision that has done this stuff before...we all bring our own food, right? Let me know...I'm clueless....

Amy WM~ We DID miss you!!

Jolee Clarke (Preston)

I'm game for going out Friday night after the game or Saturday night...either one...you just gotta let me know in advance so I am reallllly nice to Johnny so he will be my friend and drive me...a cab home to Franklin County...I could rent a limo for cheaper than that would be....

Trina Schossow (Folden)

Kelly/Shannon...I'm on my own for the Homecoming Game, so I'm up for joining your "tail".

Kelly...I loved Nelson!! Don't feel silly, those boys had some beautiful locks.

Ya'll are scaring me with all these school freinemies stories! Is this what I have to look forward to??

Vicky Lakes (Fuller)

Kelly - I think you are right, some sort of parking should be coordinated. I am picking up Susie Jones and if anyone else from the Bedford to Boutetourt to Roanoke corridor that needs a ride. I can hold 8.

Amy - I hate school projects...more so when your kids decide to do them the night before...more than once I could be found roaming thru Walmart at midnight looking for glue sticks. Ugh.

Kristin Fisher (Rush)

I would like to meet up with someone before the game and ride with them. My husband will be coming in from Maine and will meet me at the game and we dont want two cars there.....so, i would be interested in riding in with someone, kelly or vicki if there is room count me in!!

10/10/08 10:29 AM #703

Vicky Lakes (Fuller)

Kristen, I'll pick you up, no problem. You can ride with us. Let me know where you live. I was going to head to Roanoke around 330pm. Susie's dad still lives in Boxley Hills, but if you are further or closer I can adjust my schedule. Susie has the cooler, and we were going to pick up food on the way.

10/10/08 10:46 AM #704

Vicky Lakes (Fuller)

Ok Kristen, checked out where you live, I'll be coming in via Rte 24, So I can get you first and then we can head out to Susie's place and head to NHS.

Anyone else from the Cave Spring to NHS route that needs a lift...let me know.

If it would be easier we could meet at my parents house, that is where i will be dropping the little ones off for the night. They live near Hollins, do you remember? I know you came to at least one of my parties. I believe it was a graduation party that you were at if i am not mistaken and/or one of the parties my brother threw when my parents were out of town...and they went out of town a lot. Hee hee! I finally started wising up to what was going on while the parents were away so then i started making excuses to the parents as to why i didnt want to go with them. Ohh Crazy times. At one of those parties is where i drank so much peach snapps, i swear i still cannot drink that stuff to this date. Yuck!

10/10/08 11:16 AM #706

Vicky Lakes (Fuller)

Yep, I have fuzzy memories of that as well :) And yea, I can pick you up at your parents...it's been awhile so you will have to refresh my memory, send me their address, I'll get you on the way to Boxley Hills...and yea I believe there was an allnighter there...good times:) How is Mike these days? Cute kids.

10/10/08 11:38 AM #707

Vicky Lakes (Fuller)

Ahhhh yes, the peach schnapps, I am with you there, my stomach is turning a little just thinking about it.

Hey Laura C - if you are still a ghost rider, do you remember the bandana shots Karen used to like...vodka shooter things, chased with Budweiser...oh gosh, just thinking of that makes me want to hurl...I have some wild pictures of us that night at my place...

Kristin Fisher (Rush)

My gentle little giant is doing super!! I say that because i was thinking back to what Kristen WB was saying about her brother and Scott Fisher that day she was going out on a date. My brother was sorta a mix between the two, he never said much but if you stated you were struggling with something he wanted to protect and kill (beat up) anything that was causing anguish. I remember at the dinner table we were talking about some boy that kept bothering me at school, pulling my bra strap, closing my locker door, hitting me on the butt with something (not his hand) as he passed, and stuff like that...oh man it pissed me off so bad. My mom would say oh just ignore him he is just flirting and my brother would say you want me to kick his ass. How funny to think about that stuff. I think that was 7th grade.
But he is doing good. He is single now. Just got a divorce and has full custody of the kids, living in Richmond. I think i have a pic on my profile of him. He has lost some weight since then, he is back in to lifting weights and is really fit now. Looks good if i say so myself.

Trina- okay I've got your ride. I live in Bonsack right off 460 near the Lowes/ Walmart. I'll look you up...are you the one in Boxley Hills on my old street?

K.Fisher- I think I still have one of your earrings that you left at my house after a party. Do you remember my dog throwing up right before my parents got back? Vodka and eggshells. Hard one to explain to the folks.

Going to my non-favorite sandwich shop for lunch. Quiznos sucks.

10/10/08 11:44 AM #710

Kristin Fisher (Rush)

oops! No he is not on there, I just tried to upload a pic but it states that it is temp. unavailable. so i will do that soon.

10/10/08 11:51 AM #711

Kristin Fisher (Rush)

The dog puking, yea, sorry but how funny. Of course, not then.

So Trina or anyone else living in the area: are you going to the wine festival at AmReins this weekend. We were thinking of going there or to Chateau Morsette (there are having a beach festival with Key West and The Catalina's).

10/10/08 11:54 AM #712

Trina Schossow (Folden)

Kelly...I'm actually in Salem (we ALMOST bought on Thornrose), but can meet you and leave my car at my parent's house in North Lakes. They are on North Spring Drive, kittycorner from Brian Dent. If anyone else needs to use that for overflow Parking, I know they wouldn't care...

10/10/08 11:57 AM #713

Trina Schossow (Folden)

Kristin FR - I am NOT doing winefest this weekend. Haven't totally recoved from SML fest, plus it is the only weekend that I dont HAVE to do something...sticking close to the house, maybe painting my son's new bedroom. I've done Chateau Morisette many times and it is ALWAYS a blast - so have fun!!

So I was looking at our local paper and in it was a picture of the Class of 88 for a HS up here from their LAME reunion...they had a dinner at a hotel and left by 11...how sad :( LOL...anyway this picture was of a group of guys and they Looked SO OLD !!! and Yikes !! Let me just say for the record we still have the hottest looking male classmates out there ... YOU GUYS HAVE IT GOING ON !!

Oh, and to answer the previous Rick Springfield question...I think he played in Roanoke twice. Stef could probably back that up...how else would she have gotten home at the end of his tour.

10/10/08 12:44 PM #715

Kristin Fisher (Rush)

I believe he came twice too. Because when i went i had really short hair (i have the pic to prove it: standing outside the concert with my pink and white shirt on) i was in seventh grade i believe. I have the most horrifing memory of the concert. A bunch of girls were gigling around me and they finally approached me and said "that girl over there likes you" I was mortified i just said "I'm a girl" and they were like oh shit! and ran away. This was before the concert outside. I had a pink and white stripped shirt on. I will never forget that day nor did i keep my hair short past that date. It has been long ever since. I kept asking everyone, do i really look like a boy. Man how horrible i felt.
