Kim, I am right there with you...for those that read the "Had a rough day" sparked an investigation posting...well two days later my migrane has finally left but I think it will return before it's over. After 4 meetings with the principal, the asst principal, both of them together, the guidance counselor, the teacher it involved, it's finally resolved, not exactly to my satisfaction, but I learned that nobody is going to stand up for your child except you. She learned a life lesson yesterday. People that you think are you best friends aren't necessarily, and sometimes it's the un-expected person that sticks their neck out for you.
For your situation, and because of what we have been going thru, get the notes, print the page from myspace, whatever you can do for proof. And dont' dismiss anything, document everything, have you daughter discuss her situation with a guidance counselor or a teacher she likes, get it documented in the school so when it all blows up you have the proof of what has been going on...and not "hear-say". Kids will be the first to instigate stuff but when it comes back around they will immediately forget so they don't have to be pulled into anything. I firmly believe if we would have found out sooner than later that this teacher called my child a whore to the class, she would be in the unemployment line...but it was swept under the rug as hear say...never mind she said it to her face...and out of all her so called friends, one person stood up for her, but that was one of 6 so it was dismissed just as quick.
