Oh and my "Leven" friend Stef~
I would LOVE to do the doggie thing, but tomorrow is the "homecoming" ritual...hair, nails, dress, shoestring check....and I gotta get Kenzie ready too....ha ha, just kidding...she is the one who is going to NORTHSIDE'S homecoming dance. And Salem's is tomorrow night too...she didn't want to go to her own...apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

She is excited to meet you all tonight. Since she didn't get to come to the picnic because of basketball camp...be easy on her, she can't help it who her momma is.

Vicky...yes, I will be at the game tonight. Still not 100% if I have to pick up kids or not. Told the hubby to go out with his peeps after his game and I would make sure they were taken care of. This is his weekend, and he was such a trooper for mine, that I need to give him this one.

Stef...I think I could handle the stress at the "LEVEN", can you get me an application?? Maybe I could just help you sell the rugs??

Morning all! Just to confirm for everyone, Obama is speaking at noon today and then he is heading to Turbo's house for afternoon tea so traffic should be gone by then. Rain will stop soon too. If it doesn't, I say we all take a trip over to the new channel 7 building and pay Robin Reed a little visit.

Stef/Vicky - Thanks for the kind words. I guess I'm just a little bummed about never winning an AVN award. I know exactly how Susan Lucci feels! Also, I never got the role of the pool boy. I auditioned several times but never quite made it!

Jolee - I'm sure nobody will tell your daughter any stories that she could use against you. We do owe you for all the hard work you do for our class. Although, I'm sure slipping a few bills to some of your classmates wouldn't hurt either.

Everyone on the road be safe. To those on duty tonight taking care of us, and our city, state, and country, Thank You!

Vicky~You be careful driving down from PA. All those fast trucks & people cutting over in front of you is dangerous. I've had some close calls a few times.

Kelly~I am so excited Danny made it big in Nashville. I may have to change my Alan Jackson "Country Boy" ringtone on my phone to his new hit.

Everyone~Have a great Friday. Drive Safe! See you soon.
Going to finish packing now.

Vicky and everybody else traveling --- please be safe on your trip and everything that you do this weekend. Watch the drinking and driving. It's a deadly combination!!!

Greg --- you crack me up. I think that Stef is still fantasizing about you. She is such a cheater. Wait until I tell Ricky on her!

Jolee -- I saw so many things when I was in the NICU with my daughter. The baby beside her had his intestines outside of his body. The baby diagonal went into cardiac arrest and they had to crack his chest back open and massage his heart with their hand. I can't imagine what all you have seen! We tried to donate my daughters organs to a baby that needed them, but they said that pretty much everything was destroyed because of the drugs and the ECMO machine. I just wanted to save someone else's baby, ya know? :) But, I am definitely an organ donor. It's a good thing to help someone else out.

Ya'll have a GREAT weekend. Susie's dad is coming home today, so she will probably be busy up until it is time to go to the game.

Greg~
Unfortunately, there are a couple of people in our class who could spill some major beans on me...poor Ann and Leslie have heard it all...others would only incriminate themselves...but man, there are some good stories out there on me that people have noooooo idea of. Thank the Lord! I do not, however, have a porn CV...but after one divorce...I did start watching "Snapped" and getting some ideas...I also became an unlicensed private investigator. No joke, it came in handy in court...the wicked pics of the new girlfriend that were on the internet and living with my impressionable baby girl...mmm hmmmmm. Judge Trompeter was NOT impressed.

Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone is doing well.

I want to try to meet yal tonight at the homecoming game. No the baby is not coming. I just got into the message forum thing. I haven't been able to keep up with the past dialog, so let me know what the plan is for this evening. Are we meeting to eat somewhere or tail gating and the guys cooking as I have seen on some of the messages?!!? If so what do I need to bring? Where are we meeting and what time? Are we still meeting if it continues to downpour? If not or if the game gets canceled then what is the plan - still getting together or Saturday instead?
Everyone be careful coming in if you are traveling!

Jolee- funny about how you can't do bones and eyeballs. I can't do feet and eyeballs. Feet are weird. Feet were the worst part of cadaver lab in school. Our cadaver ("Roxanne") was a short, heavyset lady around 72 years old, I think. I made the first incision and opened up her back so we could inspect her muscles, spine, etc. About a month later, I sawed open her skull and my classmate removed her brain. Toward the end of the semester, we had the "easy stuff" like hand and foot structures. I nearly fainted dead away when I merely held her foot in my hand. I couldn't make a cut. Not one.

A few years later, as a new OT, I removed the socks of one of my bedbound patients and guess what happened? I felt a lumpy thing in the end of the sock and I reached in and pulled out her big toe. Yup. She had a gangrenous toe and I pulled it off. Yummy.

I just left my old job yesterday where I had a patient with several gangrenous fingertips and I must admit...I prayed all week those babies would stay intact until I left! They did. Yay!

Are we having finger-foods tonight?

Ha ha.

Carla-What exactly is "acting our age"? I don't even know what that's like? That's the only thing I hate about getting older. Can't use the excuse of being young and stupid. Now the excuse is just being stupid.

Kristen-Don't turn this around sister. I know what you're doing and it's not gonna work. You are not gonna ruin my relationship with Rick. You got that? Don't make me ride back with Vicky to whip up on you bc I will. Rick means the world to me. When Greg T. told me I didn't have what it takes to make it in HIS world, I moved on, but you still have that chance. Maybe you'll get the next leading lady role but until then, keep your foot in the door as an 'extra'. I didn't even make it as an extra. Greg broke my heart a long time ago but I'm ok now and I wouldn't have the 3 jobs I have today if it weren't for Greg rejecting me in the industry.

Greg- Keep up the good work. You will get that award one day. I thought you took home the award for 'best ameteur film' and 'best leading actor' several times. That counts for a lot. I know it's not the same but you've made a name for yourself. What is your screen name again?

Kelly-I can't believe you ripped that poor ladie's toe off. What kind of therapist are you? That reminds me of a doc. I use to call on. He had a pt. like that. She stubbed her toe on the couch and it fell off. Ugghh. She came in to see him the next day and brought her toe along with the cake she made for him. He kept this toe in a tupperware bowl and showed it to me everytime I was there. It sat on his bookshelf with the lid locked tight. I had to explain to him that I couldn't share his fascination. The things people are into, feet, toes (attached or detached), ravens, dead animals, what eats what, crack, etc...

That is so disgusting. I just threw away the salad I had leftover from yesterday. I was munching away until I saw the little baby carrots in the bottom of my tupperware container and they suddenly looked like little toes. GROSS!!!

I've got to go throw up now.

Found a toe in the bed while a student nurse...I then moved on to watching a woman bleed out from every opening in her body. And if her pump had not beeped, I would have walked out of the room when she died and she would have died alone. Divine intervention.

So who has a plan B for these 40% showers we are having? I did see an ad in the paper for some place on Kessler Mill Road where the Worx is playing tonight and tomorrow night...that is our sort of music folks!

10/17/08 01:46 PM #905

Where is Kessler Mill Road?

Salem...right at the Hardees and Kroger when you come off of 81. It runs from Main Street Salem all the way over to 311 at Hanging Rock...this place is probably either the old Billy's Barn or the old Top Rail...they show Greg's movies on Tuesday nights...is the only reason I know...I'm a member

Angie...Baby Mac is ADORABLE!! Congrats. Thanks for sharing the pics. I bet Wil is over the moon with his baby brother.

Kids can be so cute. My 10 year old suffered through about 8 games of Candyland with his little sister last night, just to let us get the paint finished in his room. He was very sweet with her and it melted my heart...so much so that I got pulled into a best 3 of 5. Ps-I suck at Candyland.

I can't wait until tonight and I do think Meterologist Greg is correct that it is going to clear up just before tailgate time. Today is worse than yesterday, so I am ready for some fun!!!

Jolee...what time on Tuesdays? How do I join??

10/17/08 01:57 PM #909

Trina- are you riding with us tonight?

Love the WORX too. Used to run with Jerry some before his WORX days, when he played solo at Sgt. Pepper's British Pub...spent LOTS of time and money in that joint. I just checked their website, they are at Greystone Tavern. 1106 Kessler Mill...

Kelly...what time are you heading out? I can drop kids off at 4:30pm, they are spending the night now, so I am up for whatever...what's your thoughts on beverages/food? (Food not sounding so great now, still thinking about toes and eyes) If faster to call, my cell 871-0750, or I'm at my desk for the next hour minimum 342-8977.
