Kristen Witt (Bray)

Well, I know that this may be a rough night for some people. I hope that no matter who wins the Presidency, that this country will come together and get things fixed. :)

Vicky Lakes (Fuller)

Chris and Dave - I think I would rather listen to the two of you cover this election than anything else on tv, especially CBS..which has just about bored me into a coma...

I think I will go fold laundry.

Suddenly I have no desire to go to Alaska...brrr.

Tony Bond

I initially was going to respond to all of the political posts from today, but I could not figure out how to do it without going into a rant and taking up an entire page... Besides, I am too tired to type that much.

I will say this though: It does not matter who wins the election! We will all lose because both of the two major parties want to increase the size of government which is bad for all of us...

I'm moving to a deserted island somewhere and live off of coconuts and wild pigs...

Kristin Fisher (Rush)

Faye, i hope your are doing ok today! Try not to let it get to you. What is, is.... and we need to deal with it.

Kristen Witt (Bray)

Has anyone checked on Faye this morning? :)

Jolee Clarke (Preston)

I think Tony has the right idea...I'm in Tony!

Where are you Faye? Never to be heard from again? Now that's not the Turbo I know...it could have very easily gone the other way. And to be brutally honest, I was very moved and impressed with McCain's concession delivery. I know he has got to be one tired man.

Stress-o-rama here. Somedays you're the windshield, somedays you're the bug...I'm the bug today.

Anyone doing lunch this week?

11/05/08 11:20 AM #1172

Faye Sowers (Crute)

Turbo is feeling hopeless this AM, while it may seem like drama to some I am serious so please don't make fun. I won't go into detail it is what it is. My business in the past year has seen the effects of what could be so all I will say is I hope that man can deliver on 1/2 of his promises. I am discouraged but I have my big girl britches on and I will just try to set some kind of example for my child, that is the best I can do. I think the division has just begun, I pray I am wrong but we will see. Peace out.

I just came back to edit because after reading my post, I sound so selfish, really even though I am hurting, I have friends hurting more so I cry today for them and pray for them that these regulations that I pray will not happen will not shut their business doors. Everybody hurts sometimes I cry for those who are hurting more than I. I appreciate all political views and friends and I hope the man put in office will not do what he has said he will do because it will be harmful to people I love but it is what it is and we just hope for the best..... hugs everyone even you damn democrats (sorry but I know you all look for my comic relief so there it is).............

Jolee Clarke (Preston)

Faye,

We have all suffered the past 8 years. No denying that. I think you are one of many of us who are feeling quite hopeless. You do have friends who care a GREAT deal about you...regardless of political views. Honestly. We turned our house phone off this week...just to save $60.00 a month. It's bad everywhere...but all we can do is hope. And not give up. Hugs Faye~

Greg Terry

I hope everyone is doing well today. Another election is over and I have hopes that we can all come together and get this country headed in the right direction. If they can't get it fixed, the NHS Class of 88 might have to step in and take over.

Jolee - I think I did see you waving at me the other day. I'm waving back do you see me?

Carla - Do you have an XL sweatshirt left?

Stef - How are the rug sales going? It's getting colder so I'm sure you will be selling out soon. I need a slurpy so I might see you this week.

Where is the next lunch outing? I might not be able to go this week but next week should be good. What about Thanksgiving?

Jolee Clarke (Preston)

If anyone wants to do Martin's for lunch tomorrow...let me know. Would love to!

11/05/08 08:18 PM #1176

Carla Boyd (McCabe)

Greg...I put your name on an XL...let me know if you want it for sure.
Tony...should we be calling you Gilligan now?

11/05/08 10:09 PM #1177

Shannon Davis (Nuckolls)

The island sounds good Tony. I'm in too.

Chris A~ I liked your Halloween picture. Was the Red Room Lounge in Raleigh fun?

Kristen Witt, Kristen Fisher, Vicky, Stefanie, Trina, Jolee, Carla, Kelly, Faye, Amy W., Stacey, Missy, hope all of you are doing well. Miss you!!

11/06/08 08:05 AM #1178

Trina Schossow (Folden)

Hey Tony, how much room is on that island? Can we leave now??

Faye...keep your chin up honey. It didn't go my way either (I work for a very small company), but we cannot give up hope girl!

Shannon...hope you are doing ok. I'm doing okay. Hitting the road again today for a week of work. Yuk! I hate being away from the kids. I'm seriously contemplating a new career, but have not idea what!!!

Ya'll have fun at lunch this week, I will try to catch ya next week when I am back!!

Have a great day all and a good weekend!!

Shannon - Red Room was a good time... quite a freak show. Most popular couple costume was Palin/Joe the Plumber. There were a few erotic Disney characters there, including a Snow White who was quite tasty. =:)

Mary Frances Mellen (Stansbury)

Greetings from Mississippi, the RED state...I normally do not post things, but know I occasionally read your fun conversations- especially informative- Noon & Akers... I heard more, unbiased info from you guys than all this agenda-filled, "make-news", 'election-tainting' media. Yes, we went red... ALMOST BLUE this year. My 'thinking self' knows how raising taxes will stunt any growth & lay many people off from their jobs...and veery depressed... how else can we all have health care & ...uggg..more... My 'optimistic self' is just thrilled that our country has actually elected a non-white male. Really, that is historic. I do pray though that the 'rhetoric' about friends & acquaintances is just that.... he is awfully low on the experience scale... I pray, pray, pray.
Can you tell who got my vote? Best wishes to all you guys in that BLUE state. Have a great day. And, the glass IS half FULL!!! : )

And, yes, we're looking for real estate on an ISLAND, too!! Maybe New Zealand! :) Warm weather's not always great... you know, with global warming & all... 15 years it will all be under water...

Hey Meo.... North Carolina can't seem to finish counting so I'll have to wait to find out if we will be moving to the island!! Red keeps us here and Blue means it's time to move!!! :)

Carla Boyd (McCabe)

Just a reminder...I will be Mill Mt. Coffee and Tea in Botetourt tonight from 7:15 til 7:50(while my kids are at a church thing) with a van full of hoodies and t-shirts for anyone wanting to pick up. I will be in a gold Chevy Venture in the parking lot.

11/06/08 05:25 PM #1187

Amy Wilhelm (McGuirt)

Faye~ I'll let ya know when our count comes in!! So far, we still don't know who won the state.. there's always SC where I know they finished McCain.. maybe we can move our families to the beach:)

Jolee Clarke (Preston)

Barry~

Funny...coming from a CLASS OFFICER...who ducked into the underground around...oh, reunion planning time! You make me laugh.

Turbo~ You know, know, KNOW I am here for ya...even if it means listening to your rambling. Okay?

I was beginning to think it was time to shut the ole' site down. It had gotten quiet and numb. Glad to see people back on. At least there's always Facebook...I'm officially addicted to THAT too now.

Can we still plan the slumber party with Shannon in Raleigh? The site is kicking my butt on a survey...screwing it up...I've got emails in...but anyhoo, girls...pick a weekend in December or January...we can leave on a Saturday morning...come back Sunday...shop, eat, go out, do spa things, shop, hang out, shop, whatever you all want. Don't be shy! Post some ideas! Shannon wants to play!

And where the hell is Lugar the Cougar?!?! I mean, she and I were like BFF's...and now, she dumped me! I did hear that Taylor Swift and the Jonas Brother broke up...maybe she is showing him what she can do with hardware...who knows.

Jolee Clarke (Preston)

You all please keep your fingers crossed for me. Kenzie tries out for the Salem basketball team next week. She is a wreck, and I am too. Always worried that damn virus is going to show itself. She doesn't care if she makes JV or Varsity...just as long as she makes one. I am partial to JV...they play first and get the heck home! :)

11/06/08 10:21 PM #1190

Stefanie Lugar

Jolee- Sorry girl. I was in Alaska with DJ GT. You know, making his latest film. Trust me, I've missed you this past week. No obscene text msg.s, emails or anything. It just hasn't been the same w/o them. Lugar the Cougar is back and we are still "like BFF's" ya know. For real like ok you know ok yeahhh. I think it's actually been a week since I've been on here but I did post some pics of Laura Clinebells son on my profile. Check 'em out! He is a cutie with a Harvard IQ. We need to plan lunch again soon. It's too fun not to do it once a week. I wish you all could drink with me though during lunch. I understand you don't like working while drunk but I think I'm more productive that way. I've been so busy with the bear skin rugs, the Leven, the drugs and now I'm trying to get the Christmas tree farm together and ready for the holidays. Wheewwwww!

Carla-I'm sorry you got ripped off by those that didn't pay you for their sweatshirts. That just sucks ass! I'll pitch in some money to help you out. You shouldn't have to eat it just bc you were doing something nice for everyone. Afterall you used your time and your money to make the sweatshirts happen and this is what you get. You are nicer than I am. No news there I'm sure.

Faye-You'll have to come out with us sometime. You could hang in there til 2 am. Especially if you're having fun, which I'm sure you would.

Shannon-I thought about you the other night when we were downtown. We went to 202 Market St, you know the place that was playing Bohemian music? I talked to the mgr. and told him we didn't come in bc of that. He is actually the new mgr. and moved here from Vegas. Their sales have skyrocketed since he's been there. I tried girl! It was a fun scene though.

Kristen F.-So what makes you think that was my house that had the horse and the bike in the front yard. Do you think I am the only one in the neighborhood that keeps a horse in my front yard? That is actually more common than you may think. Matter of fact, I know it wasn't my house bc you only saw 2 people on a swing. If it were my house, you would have seen 3 people on a swing. Yeah, I know, I'm talented like that.

DG GT- About the hoodie. Yeah, I've got your hoodie but I'm not giving it back until you bring back the undergarments you borrowed from me. You said you needed them for that one weekend and that was several weeks ago.

About lunch next week. Looks like (at this hour), I can do Wed, Thurs, or Fri. Who's in?
What's up with Raleigh? I'm ready whenever you all are.

Barry-Thanks for the FDA Chair nomination. I won't let you down.
