Hey - speaking of the WORLD CHAMPION PHILLIES...we all got champion t-shirts for Christmas from John's Aunt and Uncle (Season ticket holders who were there that glorious night)..Thought that'd be an awesome family photo...

Kristen Witt (Bray)

Vicky --- so do you think that it will be Pittsburgh vs. Philadelphia in the Super Bowl? My uncle is actually working (volunteering) at the Super Bowl. How cool is that!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of which, how is the Fantasy Football league going? No one has mentioned it.

Happy New Year all. I went rollerskating tonight, and it made me think of Carla and Amy W.

Carla--I hope your husband gets a new job soon. Hang in there.

Amy--You hang in there too, and kick that habit.

I think you both need to go rollerskating to relieve stress. I know I'm feeling much better now. Ahhhhhh.

Take care,
Sara

Kristen - Yes I wouldn't mind seeing the Eagles and Steelers either...that would be an AWESOME game... as for the NHS 88 Fantasy Football...

Girls kicked Butt (Weaver, Lakes, Jones)...although being that it is FFL, Brian Dent who was in 8th place surprised us all and went on to play in the finals against Angelo (#5)..who, as predicted in the beginning won the season. We had a great time, and hopefully next year we will have more people sign up to play.

I was the bomb :) ...

Sorry but it'll be Cards/Ravens :( Ugh....

Vicky Lakes (Fuller)

Angelo - Ok, you were the bomb. But my 9-4 wasn't too shabby either. Ravens/Cards nah, I beg to differ....it's our year...Eagles all the way baby..
and thanks...bought the case of Yuengling. Holding onto it for the big game :)

Kelly HB - When the Eagles make it to the SB I will be in Roanoke...I'll save you one of our local brews.. for our victory toast ;)

Trina - Haven't forgotten that I owe you a cold one.

Vicky - I want in next years fantasy football league!!! I did not know there was one this year as I was not at the festivities last summer... Angelo cannot defend his title and win 2 years in a row...

Hi All ~ Hope everyone is doing okay. Just trying to be a good mother and finding I think I suck at it. Honestly. What the heck do you do when you ask your kid TWENTY-FIVE times, "do you have January exams?" Kid replies, "um, no." THEN, you see lying out on the desk a paper titled, "Drama: Exam." Grrrr! I emailed all of her teachers AGAIN...who state, "Kenzie is a joy to have in class, Kenzie is a great student, Kenzie is well-mannered, (I'm saying this in a high pitched, snippy tone, can you hear me?), Kenzie is all that and a bag of chips...HOWEVER....Kenzie has a 73/D average...because Little Miss Sunshine turns in NO assignments...AGAIN!!! I know the kid is exhausted...she is the Captain of the basketball team and HAS to be tired with all of the texting and drama that surrounds the females at Salem but HELLPPP!!!! Any suggestions? I clamp down on her, get her grades up, then I seem to faulter as bad as she does...but see, I have 45 OTHER students who count on me too.

Also, I added a new box at the bottom of the main page...This Day in History...it's pretty cool. Enjoy and thanks for listening!

Tony - Absolutely you can join. We have a fleaflicker site. I was the commish this year, but would gladly hand that title over to someone else. And yea, we can't have Angelo winning two years in a row...next year we thought about putting up some $$ for the winner at the end.

Jolee - Girl I don't know what to tell you. For years I battled with the no I don't have homework, the I have a project due tomorrow and I haven't started it yet can you help me?..that would be the shopping for more glue sticks at Walmart at midnight project...or the my grade is so low on my progress report because my teacher hasn't graded all my papers excuse. I have to give her credit though because I have seen 4th Qtr midterm D's become B's by the end of the year... I guess that's why I don't ride her too much about it. When I see the grades I give the look, and the you could do much better speech and let it go. I consider myself lucky that she's turned out to be a really great teen with a smart head on her shoulders..whether or not she chooses to use it in school.

Jolee - the snow picture...can you add the "d" on the word "world" ? It drives me a little nuts to see it.
Like the "this day in history" feature.

Vicky~ That's what I get for copying and pasting from Photbucket...I couldn't add it in from there, so I just re-typed it...actually looks better. Thanks for the editing!

Vicky Lakes (Fuller)

Thanks Jolee - It comes from my editing for a publisher days...Our redneck local paper is famous for typos...drives me crazy.

Hey everyone..hope you guys are staying warm!

JoLee try talking to her coach about missing assignments. You dont have to do it in front of Kenzie or let her know that you called. Call the coach and ask for help. The coach can say hey I have heard (she will think it's from the teachers) you are not turning in work. I know with my athletes..it hurts a little more coming from their coach than coming from mom!

Super Bowl...I am rooting for AZ (lived in Phoenix for 5 years..sat in the stands rooting for the worst team in the league..now they want to make far! ugh!) and Pittsburgh. One of my best friends here..her family is die hard fans...makes for a good party..and bragging rights when AZ wins!

Jolee Clarke (Preston)

Thanks Susie! I will take any ammunition I can and that will DEFINITELY work!! Her coaches are great! By the way, Salem played Northside last night and had to use the middle school gym...I didn't know that the high school gym is not for use for basketball games. Kind of odd. Anybody know why? Ken Bowen's daughter plays for Northside...really good bball player...aggressive. It was a good game!

Hope the boys in Myrtle are having a good time and staying out of trouble!! Hope someone will post some pics! If the guys took any...probably didn't unless it has breastesess...

Jolee --- my brother goes on those annual golf trips too. But, I just can't see my brother in a strip bar. He just doesn't seem the type. :) But, on the other hand, it's the quiet, shy ones that you have to watch out for!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jolee Clarke (Preston)

Kristen~ I'm sure they are having a great time...boobies or no boobies. All of Johnny's friends make fun of him because when he goes to Bike Week with the "guys," they are heading out at 11pm to go see boobies...he stays behind at the condo. He says it will be the shortest, cockiest guy who tries to start a fight with him, so he passes...

Kristen Witt (Bray)

Jolee --- Be thankful that your husband makes that decision. Steve will go to those types of establishments when they go out of town for the Tech football games. I try not to let it bother me, but at the same time, I don't like it. But, it's not like he does this on a regular basis. Maybe once a year, if that. So, I just try to leave it alone. :)

Well gang, it snowed maybe 1/8 inch here, and my kids were so excited that they went outside to play in it. That's pathetic, huh? But they had a good time, and that is all that matters. So, for the 20 minutes they were outside, they successfully got rid of the snow around the majority of the apartment complex. What is really bad is that there was more snow on the pavement than on the grass. :)

Well, the Eagles lost. That's okay, it looked like a pretty good game. Like I said before, I'm not a huge NFL fan, but it would have been nice to have another parade around here. :)

I'm gonna finish up some things and call it a night. Good night everyone. Sweet dreams. And I hope that you have a great week!

Kelly HB~ Johnny wants to know if you drive a white Tahoe...if you do, he was trying to flash you while he was riding beside you...if not, he sends his apologies to whomever reported him to the police...ha ha!

Troy~ The kid is having her entire JV basketball team down to our house this weekend for "bonding." Sorry, if it were bondage, I'm sure they would invite you. I have my PEZ dispenser with Xanax ready....

Trina Schossow (Folden)

Good Morning... Okay all you that work from home. Today is my very first day. I need some pointers. Example #1 - I'm on here posting, when I should be working, Example #2 - the clothes in the dryer are screaming to be folded, Example #3 - I could probably get the house clean this morning and still keep up with e-mail... I really want this arrangement to work. The boss agreed to two days a week, until we see how it goes. How do you stay focused? HELP!!

Kristen - Cute Christmas pic of the kids.

Vicky Lakes (Fuller)

Trina - Welcome to the "Women's World" of working from home. I hear ya...I had the same problem. Those 8 hours at home would take me 12 because I'd have to stop to change over the laundry, load the dishwasher, start dinner, clean up, whatever.. John on the other hand has been working solely from home (IT) for 6 years...I could come home from work and still find wet clothes in the washer, dishes in the sink, and the tv still on cartoons from when the kids watched tv before school...drove me crazy. My favorite thing was when he'd call me at work to ask what was for dinner...ok genius how about taking those 10 giant steps into the kitchen and pulling something out of the freezer... Good luck girl...

Amy Wilhelm (McGuirt)

Horray for snow!!!! We finally got some and we're out of school today :) OK so don't laugh but here it is.....2 inches!!!!!! WWWOOOO HHHHOOO!! That's a lot for here and my kids are treating it like 2 ft!!! I feel bad for them in a way because growing up, we always had several good snows to play in and they are over the top with just the little bit we did get!! I'm sure it will be gone by 3pm!!
Oh well, it will be fun while it lasts!!

Trina Schossow (Folden)

Vicky...Thanks for the advise. So far, all seems to be well. I've actually accomplished a lot this morning. Of course, I was in the basement folding laundry when the boss called my cell phone which was upstairs at my computer!! Thanksfully he didn't really need anything and I called him back right away. I think the hardest part for me, unlike John, is NOT taking the 10 steps to the kitchen for a snack!!
