After working as a substitute teacher at Hononegah High School in Rockton, IL. for 18 years, I decided to retire this year. I subbed in all subjects except Chemistry [I think Papa Chid was amazed at my total density!], Physics, and any Math that had both numbers AND alphabet. I still teach dog obedience classes and currently have a Cardigan Welsh Corgi named "Lottie." I gave her that name because when I brought her home she had LOTS of Issues and LOTS of Potential. She is doing much better and has her CGC, Rally Novice title and passed her herding instinct test with flying colors. [Sheep really aren't very bright!] She loves Agility, too, but she is way faster than I am. I also have a group of sewing friends from church... "The Stitch and Bitch Club" meets once a week. At church we are the "Mend and Murmur Club" for obvious reasons. We make quilts and such for ourselves, but also sew for homeless shelters, domestic abuse shelters, nursing homes, NICU at hospitals, etc. Don is retired and would like to travel, but my mom is 98 and lives in a nursing home and I don't want to be out of town for more than a couple days at a time.
