Rock Hill High Track Team 4th in State.  Abie  "Superman" Edwards won the pole vault with a school record of 12' 0".  Bobby Nies took 4th place in both the shot put and the discus.  "It is not known whether the recent shaving of Nies head attributed to the good tosses."  David Hoffman broke the school record in the 440 with a time of 52.1.  The Bearcats team of Kenny Barrett, Homer Harris, Bert Moore and David Hoffman finished 3rd in the 4X440 relay with a time of 3:35.4.
