CARROLLTON, Texas - Francis "Sonny" Adlai Bourne Jr., 63, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011.

Mr. Bourne was born in Georgetown, S.C., on Feb. 15, 1947, a son of the late Adlai Bourne and Hazel Bourne. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, he worked for many years in the finance business with Borg-Warner, TransAmerica, Aegon, GE and AIG. Mr. Bourne was a devoted husband and father, an avid runner and a lifelong Tarheel basketball fan.

Surviving are his wife and best friend, Kaye; three sons, Jay, Doug and Paul; a daughter-in-law, Dawn; two grandsons, Dale and Dain; three sisters, Faye Moore (Whitey), Alice Ciminel (Bob) and Tanner Bryant; his mother-in-law, Lina Williams; a brother-in-law, Lamar Williams (Jane); and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at Sampit United Methodist Cemetery in Georgetown.
