Sister Carolyn Bennett  From Sister Carolyn Bennett today, 9/14/2017

Hi, Kay
we did evacuate to Raleigh where our sisters have a convent and school.
It was a long journey from Savannah to Raleigh and long coming back Wednesday.
Thank God all are safe.

A warning to all - don't buy your Halloween candy yet. There is a chance it will not be around at Halloween!  As I try to blow a bubble with the Double Bubble I purchased the other day I find my tongue isn't strong enough anymore to blow bubbles, but it sure tastes good and brings back sweet memories.  Which was your favorite?  I have a few choices here, but can't remember them all. Help me if you can. I thought Double Bubble was in a white package with red and blue letters with a comic inside.

Haven't posted any pics from my trip to Sturgis this year. Trailered up and back, but put 1800 miles on the scoot during 8 day trip. This shot is from downtown. I'm 2nd from left, Son Kyle is on far right along with 3 good friends. Not too bad for almost 71yo

Aw, thanks Dee!  Did you find your house ok after the storm???

We had a lot of tree limbs and our power was off for several days but we were out of town in Philadelphia. Our neighbors said the sound of the wind blowing was awful to hear.

Can't believe nobody talks about Clemson Football. Last Saturday in Death Valley just before the subs went in. Good ole fashioned Butt Whooping..........sorry Wake

Jimmy, we don't talk about it cause we don't know nothin' about sports. You guys need to carry that one.  That is why we need a man on the adminstrative team here.  You can unofficially be our sports correspondant and keep us informed.  All I know is that the other day my husband was whining about something I had done and I told him "to take a knee in protest"'.  That's as far as my sports IQ goes.  Was that game the day the weather was so bad and there were tornados in that area?

Dee, I apologize to you and all our ladies who know football.  I personally cannot carry on an educated conversation about any sport!  There are many of you ladies who are as passionate about football as our men.  If I had been Cam, those comments would have been all over the news by now.  So sorry!

Good thing you are not on the National news now. Women who love sports would get you! My husband taught me the game of football and the rules over 40 years ago and he tells me he has created a monster. I love football! If we live closer, I would be glad to teach you the game and you will get hooked on the game. It does help if you pick a team to pull for. Have a good weekend.

I know, right?, I sounded so prejudiced and close minded.  I have family members who would disown me - female ones!! Thanks for the offer.  I don't know if I'd be capable to pick it up.  If my Dad, my brother and my husband couldn't help me, I guess no one can.

I'm another huge Tiger fan.  Pulling for those Tigers to bring home another National Title this season.  Go Tigers.  And go ACC.

We had 3 National Championships in South Carolina last year.  Clemson won College Football National Championship, Women's basketball team from University of South Carolina won National Championship, and Coast Carolina Chanticleers brought home the Baseball National Championship.

Personally, I think the reason no one talks about Clemson is because they are a University in a small town and "They are not supposed to be National Champs."  Nobody wants to recognize that they are a force to be reckoned with.  Or as Mrs. Long, my high school English teacher would say, "They are a force for which to be reckoned."

Jimmy, all these people are wanting to talk Clemson football with you - where are you?

My husband tells me USC won today.  I asked him if they whooped um?  He said " I wouldn't exactly call it a whoopin -----".  He did say Clemson got whooped yesterday.  Uh-oh!
