Now that Christmas shopping has peaked, I want to share a secret I discovered this season - WALGREEN'S.  Avoid the crowds, no long lines, great sales, friendly staff and you can pick up your meds while you shop. I found the cutest little ornament for $2.99 (as opposed to Hallmark's keepsake price of $20), quality wrapping paper, boxes and bags, every stocking stuffer you can imagine. Make it easy on yourself and have a Merry Christmas!

Thank the LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ. He offers us HOPE when we face the loss of a loved one. This is the season of new beginnings. For those that have left this world they began ETERNITY. For those of us left behind, we have memories and a true HOPE in a Heavenly Father that has a plan for all that will trust HIM. That  Hope is in Jesus Christ.

Mary Jayne and I appreciate all the heartfelt compassion for us. Your prayers are the most valued thing you could give because without God we have nothing. We want to especially thank our friend, David Sealy who has been a tremendous support the last three months as well as a friend since high school.

Sincerely,

Daniel and Mary Jayne Webster

For those of you who need a shot of good news every day, stroll through the Photo Gallery and take a look at Wayne Haselden's beautiful photographs.  Wayne has to have the quickest eye in creation or is the most patient man in the world to catch just the right moment.  Stunning!

Becky, why  do I have to go first?  OK. It was Tuscaloosa, 5th or 6th grade. Someone had a party. I liked a boy named Owen, his best friend was Dennis.  A slow tune was on the record player and Dennis asked me to dance.  The little rat tried to kiss me. I got so upset I called my Daddy to come get me.  I don't know where Owen was, but after that I didn't want anything to do with either one of them.  You didn't specify "meaningful" kiss. I don't honestly know  when the first meaningful kiss was, but I do know I got over the fear by the next time.

OK, Beck, your turn......

Thanks, Kay for being the first to share your story. Those were funny, awkward times. My first ever kiss happened in 9th grade when I was 14. Vickie Broom had some of us kids to her house one night. She lived across the street from us on Mt. Gallant. I do not recall who all was there except for Richard Cranford. Starting in school that year we developed a crush on each other. Friends used to tease us and call us Mutt and Jeff because I was taller. Richard gave me his friendship ring. It was way too big and I put tape on it so it would fit my finger. At Vickie’s that night we played spin the bottle. All of a sudden I was with Richard and we were heading to another room to kiss. The room we went into was pitch black and it became very quiet. Then in the darkness I felt his lips pressing against mine. It was brief, sweet and oh so innocent. Our crush was short lived and there was no official ending. I just recall it as a pleasant experience and think fondly of Richard — the first time a boy flirted with me and pursued me and kissed me once upon a time. I still have his ring.

Noticed on Facebook that several have been trying to reach, contact or find out about Linda Hunter Carroll.  Anyone heard from her.  She and David were having health issues.

Barbara,

I have not heard from Linda but usually see her post on FB. Are she and David living at the beach?
