Rock Hill Susan Diane King Starnes, 70, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022.
Susan Starnes was born on October 4, 1951, to the late Hershel Irvin King and Thelma Louise King. She worked for the majority of her career as a mail clerk for Transport Clearings East. She deeply loved her 15 cats and all of her nieces and nephews. In her free time, she thoroughly enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, and watching western movies at home. Most importantly, Susan loved Jesus. She was saved in her youth and was an active member of Eastside Baptist Church and later Roddey Baptist Church. She enjoyed old hymns, prayed regularly for others, and loved God s Word.
She is survived by her sisters, Carol Melton and Gail Davis; her brother, Jimmy King; her nephews, Randy Davis, Chuck Melton, Keith Davis, Scott Melton, Kelly King, Doug King, Jeff Davis, Stephen King, and Andrew King; and her nieces, Lisa King, Kim Taylor, and Wendy Shuler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy Starnes; her parents, Hershel and Thelma King; her brother, Gerald King; and her niece, Kelly Melton.
A funeral service will be held for Mrs. Starnes at 2:00PM on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC, 29732. Burial will follow the service at Forest Hills Cemetery, 4290 Old York Rd, Rock Hill, SC, 29732.
