Lester Earl Strickland

Lester Earl Strickland, 68, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at his home.

Mr. Strickland was born in Tabor City, NC, and was the son of the late Elbert B Strickland and the late Mable Edwards Strickland. He was the office manager at H&R Block Tax Service in Indian Land, SC, a substitute teacher with Kelly Services and New Hope Carolinas.

He served 20 years in the South Carolina National Guard, 2BN, 263 Armor in Rock Hill, SC obtaining the rank of Master Sergeant. He was an auctioneer for 38 years.

Mr. Strickland is survived by his wife, Sandra McManus Strickland; his daughter, Sarah Strickland Epps (William); his son, Dwain Strickland and his fiancé Amanda Baker; his sister, Gloria Price; his brothers Toby Strickland and Kevin Strickland; and his grandchildren Alex Strickland and Ava Grace Strickland.

A private family service will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday August 9, 2020, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel with Pastor Larry Nivens officiating. The service will be live streamed at www.greenefuneralhome.net
