Goldsboro, NC - - Tony Michael Couch, 71, of Goldsboro, formerly of Gaffney, South Carolina, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at his home.

Mr. Couch was born in Greenville, South Carolina on October 2, 1950 to the late Jerry Clifton Couch Sr. and Sophie Nell Bolden Couch.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, the United States Air Force and the National Guard.  Mr. Couch was a Mason, Shriner and a life-long member of the VFW post #3447 in Gaffney, South Carolina.

He is survived by his children, Tonya Couch and significant other, Brian Ervin of Gaffney, South Carolina, Randall Scott Reeves of Danbury, North Carolina, Catherine "Cathy" M. Jones and husband, Allen of Goldsboro, NC, Kimberly Brown of Winston Salem, NC and Connie Tanedo of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two brothers, Joe Mac Couch and wife, Martha of Rock Hill, SC. and Jerry C. Couch Jr. and wife, Linda of Rock Hill, SC.; six sisters, Rhonda C. Griffin of York, SC., Jane Stevenson and husband, David of Carlisle, SC., Peggy Helms of Rock Hill, SC, Jean C. Murray of Jefferson City, TN., Susan C. Childers of York, SC. and Ina Marshburn and husband, Bob of Chester, SC.; his niece, Paula C. Oates and husband, Danny of Rock Hill, SC.; eighteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren with one on the way.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Couch was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 30 years, Shirley J. Couch; his daughter, Jacqueline “Jackie” Smith and his brother, Jerry Ronald Couch.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Blakely Funeral Home.   Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dennis Tolley officiating.  Interment, with military honors, will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
