Frank Deaton

ROCK HILL - Mr. Frank Osborne Deaton, 60, of 1334 Candy Lane, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at his home.

Services for Mr. Deaton will be 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, 355 E. White Street, with Dr. Dennis P. Cook officiating. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home.

Mr. Deaton was born in York County, S.C., and was the son of the late Oliver T. Deaton and the late Hilda Osborne Deaton. He was a graduate from Rock Hill High School and York Technical College with an associate degree. Mr. Deaton worked as a security officer at York Technical College and formerly worked with the City of Rock Hill. He was an avid lifelong supporter and stockholder of the Green Bay Packers. He was of the Methodist faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Deaton was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Renee Deaton and his niece, Katie Eargle.

Mr. Deaton is survived by his wife, Linda Bigham Deaton; his sisters, Sarah Patterson and husband, William of Rock Hill, Emilie Ritchie and husband, Michael of Chester and Olivia Eargle and husband, Reuben of Lexington; two nieces and three nephews; and one great-niece and two great-nephews. Frank was a loving, thoughtful man who will be missed dearly by his wife, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of York County, 2036 Carolina Place, Fort Mill, SC 29715.

Jenny Ramsey (Potter)

I remember Frankie and how sweet he was to me. His little sister Olivia was my sister best friend and we lived near them. He had a cool car . I send my thoughts and prayers to his family. We will miss you,Frankie. Here is a rose for you....Your friend Jenny
