Unsure where I made the connection, but when I saw the movie "Cool Hand Luke" - I thought of Ronnie. What a sweetie - and so funny! Always able to make you smile! What a loss for this old world....

You are right, Janice...I agree that just about everyone had a crush on Ronnie. He was so kind to everyone. Does anyone know when Ronnie died...what happened...

Indeed, he was a sweet heart. And, yes, all the girls loved him, including me. He had a wonderful family, too! Went by to see him not long after his Mother died. He was his same old self.
I am pretty sure that Ronnie had a heart attack. His father died while we were in high school. Think Ronnie had the same problem.
We do miss you Ronnie!

My son Casey is friends with Jason McFadden, Ronnie's son. Ron has been dead for over 15 years. Jason got his dad's good looks.

Ronnie was a good friend and a wonderful person. He had a way of making you feel special when he spoke to you. I'm glad that I had the opportunity to know Ronnie and call him "friend."

What a great loss to our class - Ronnie was such a wonderful guy and I don't know any of the girls that did not have a crush on him. He was one of the best looking guys there was and had the most beautiful smile. He was kind and caring and truly loved people. He was truly a wonderful man inside out and was always there for those that needed him - a rose to you Carolyn Hancock Finley

Add me to the list of those with a crush on Ronnie McFadden!  I am sure I acted like an idiot around him and never could get him to ask me out.  He was always gracious and friendly to me anyway!  So sad when I heard we lost him.

I met Ronnie through working at Duke Power. Ronnie & I became best friends & spent many many days together. I just can't begin to tell you all how close Ronnie & I became. We spent many days on the golf course together. Ronnie was a terrible loss to me personally. Work time, golf time, vacation time etc. I still miss him tremendously. Also, to let you all know Ronnie did die from cardiovascular disease. A few months after he died I held the initial "BIG MAC" Golf Tournament. This year marks the 15th year of the event. The torn. takes place at Woodbridge Golf Course near Shelby NC. The tournament benefits The American Heart Association. If you know of someone who would like to participate, please contact me. Also, if the class would like to get together and make a contribution to the tournament that would be greatly appreciated. I will see that every dollar goes to The American Heart Association via the "BIG MAC" Golf Tournament. You can contact me at reesejerry@hotmail.com Thanks for your consideration and do help us keep the memory of Ronnie Mac alive!
