Sherry Johnson

Hi Everyone,  I am so sorry that I missed our reunion.  I was traveling with my sister to Sweden and Norway.  I do hope you all had a great time together.

I was so happy and heart warmed  to read all your political thoughts and comments.  We MUST defeat dt.  He is so dangerous.  I have 14 diagnoses for him; truly a sick man.  I am doing my best in Massachusetts to help Harris win here.   We need calm, diagaloue, smart, caring, credible, futureistic thinkers, honest, and emapthetic leaders. And that is Kamala Harris.   Our democracy,  the world, and our beloved planet are at great risk. Thank you, all of you, who are working for our mutual goals.

I hope you are all well and keeping your health at our age.  I think about you all so often and the great times we had in high school.

My best,

Sherry Johnson

I couldn't agree with you more, Sherry. We are doing everything we can down here in Bradenton, FL to support  Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in this most crucial election. Liz Cheney's speech yesterday in Ripon, WI, reflected so many of our feelings throughout the country about saving our Democracy, and she has all of the FACTS after her succinct investigation into the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. We must defeat the felon and grifter who has no respect for our Constitution. The only priority in his life is himself.

I agree about DJT- he has to go-  I am hoping that there are a lot of closet Harris voters!!  I really believe Liz Cheney's speech in Ripon, Wisconsin.  Will really help out Harris!!!

Words to live by Sherry...thanks. Greg & I voted yesterday Democrats of course. What was interesting was everyone voting on a Fri. afternoon appeared to be 65 & older. We think an awful lot of boomers are going to vote Harris. Gray Panthers save the day.

Hi! All. Thanks to all of you that have spoken up and are working hard to get Harris/Walz elected in November. I really believe that they are our only way forward if we want to take care of our generation and Medicare, our kids generation with paid family leave, and our grandkids' generation with sensible gun laws and climate policies. My husband taught 40 years and never feared guns in schools. Our family teachers fear everyday.  A little info. Have you noticed all the food call backs due to Listeria? You can thank  DJT. He deregulated meat inspections under The USDA. This allowed plants to have employees, not government agencies do inspections. Lots of Listeria outbreaks in our meats & deli food. Our age group at risk. Dems can't reverse because Republican House voted against every food safety bill proposed. One last thing. He also wants 33% across the board cuts to all social security. Look it up. Also Elon Musk will really be a a part of our politics if DJT elected. Don't know about all of you but he's scary. Sorry so long but I hear the fears of my grandchildren, nieces & nephews. I am proud to be part of a class that is willing to speak up and work to keep making our country better. Let's get back to some normalcy. Thinking of our classmates in Florida. Pat Lassandra Murray

Pat - I couldn't agree with you more about the Harris/Walz ticket -- I have my fingers crossed that there are a lot of voters that will check the Harris/Walz box that just are silent in the red regions of our country.  This is the most serious election of our time.  I get so frustrated with the Republicans that know better and still support him, just because they can not vote for a Democrat.  It is a sad sad world that we have right now, I am hoping that we get back to normal after this election is over. We really need to get away from all this name calling and acting like childhood bullies!!!  A president (man or lady) need to be looked up to and respected for the whole world!!

I can't believe that my classmates are so in touch with reality. All this crap that you people are complaining about have come under Democrat control and you think that Kamala is going to change it YOUR CRAZY!!!! Go ahead and I am answer or talk to this class sure you'll regret your decision.
No need to reply because I wont talk to fools

Rick,  this is like watching the movie, dumb and dumber. For four years, under Biden, Obama, Soros, Schwab, and Susan Rice, we have seen inflation rampantly go out of control, increasing the prices of gasoline, food cost, and everything else. Why would anyone want to continue going down that socialist path? luckily, I moved out of Rockford, the #1 crime city of its size.  How does our class think Rockford got that way? Let's think about it, and think about Chicago and Democrats, and they sent Rockford all their dregs. I vote for Donald Trump is a vote for the first amendment, and the second amendment, and lower inflation, and and all around better economy. Why are other classmates don't see it that way, is beyond me. I'm just glad that I left Rockford when I did, and I've never looked back. If you want to see an indication of what the Democrats have planned for this country, go watch Dr. Zhivago again. And go read the book by Ayn Rand. "We The Living'".  Why do you think cities like Rockford and Detroit have no industry?  It's time to protect the United States.  And why would any administration give money to both sides of the fence, as in giving money to Isreal (Nothing wrong with that) And giving 157 million to Lebanon(In other words to terrorists)?  Let's make America great again. Vote early, for Donald Trump.  Make America Great Again!

Spenser Gifts used to sell a t-shirt that read "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit." Apoparently, Traitor Tot isn't the only one practicing the "The Weave".

Hi all. I last posted in June about how much we needed to re-elect Joe because of his moral character, respect for our freedoms and many accomplishments like the Chips act, Infrastructure act and others. Then there was the most vile, horrible dictator wannabe to vote against.

Since then, Joe showed the most selfless act of any American to give up the most powerful position in the world and support Kamala as the Democratic candidate. In 90 days she has run a campaign of hope, joy, seriousness, public service and respectfulness. Trump has continued to devolve further in his demented invective of lies, personal grievances, admiration of dictators, authoritarians and Hitlers Generals.
His project 2025 shows a truly terrifying future of post election actions for his 'enemies from within' using our own military to carryout draconian steps of immunity protected plans. Unfit, unstable, manchild, with unlimited power. Indeed, he will demolish democracy forever and carryout his promise to never have us worry about voting again. Good bye America. Hello Trumpland.

I was going to wait until November 6th to post this, but early voting started yesterday in Missouri (St. Louis suburb), and now that I see some sanity in the postings, I wanted to say that our best way forward is to vote for Trump. I agree that he has problems speaking about non-policy ideas, so he really needs to keep his pie hole shut more.

Kackala speaks to us like we're children...hand motions, inappropriate laughter and smiles, ZERO policy statements, admits she supports Biden's ideas about the border and economy, wouldn't change any of Uncle Joe's decisions, etc. I thought Rockford was a mostly conservative town. That's how I was taught—just my $.02.

Inresponse to the three amigos "what a bunch of BS" Hey Rick Frese are you still a thief? Remember stealing my gym shoes from my locker? I persuaded you to remove them or else get your ASS beat!Time has not healed the "DEAD BRAIN SYNDROME" you entered this world with! Remember "once a thief always a thief"! As for the other two lemmings get a brain and conscience. Three votes for a draft dodger, a liar,a cheat, a homophobe, etc. Another Trump administration and our Republic is dead. That is all from a Vietnam Era Vet plus a proud retired International Brotherhood of Electrical workers member.

Terry, 60 years is a long time to accuse someone of stealing your $5 pair of Keds.  They were probably brand new and came from Owens   Accusations and Threats from 60 years ago?  Get over it.  How may illegal aliens, terrorists and gang members living in your neighborhood?  Thank you Joe Biden and Kamela Harris!  You happy with what Inflation has done to your buying power?  I can't name one good thing sleepy Joe and Kackling Kamela have done since in office; however, neither can anyone

rredneckAHH! A reply from a Redneck living in a Redneck state that treats their women like second class citizens. Doesn't matter how many years go by a thief is forever. With a career in real estate you must feel right at home. I am surprised that the Texas Rangers haven't hanged you from a tall tree for your past misdeeds. You must have a office next to your dumb ass governor Greg Abbott.

Sorry folks but I've read enough.   Being from Texas  and now Florida, the major issues we all are dealing with are the Border, the Economy, Safety, international affairs, and yes, Women's Rjghts.  I may not like his tweets, and language at times but I'm voting on POLICIES.   Since we are all up there now it's not kind to rip Joe or Kamala... but it is easy.  From Afghanistan to Isreal to our Border it has been a complete fiasco.  She was NOT PRIMARIED, and cannot put coherent thoughts our with a teleprompter.  There are much better candidates in the Democratic Party, but they dealt us this hand, and we have to play for the good of the country.  Like a sign I saw not long ago.. 'If I said she's an idiot... 98% of you would know who she is'  and Walz is weak and terrible!

God Bless and Stay Well.

Hi Folks. To me there are three main issues we should be voting about and thus choose who can lead us in addressing them:

1. the existential challenge of climate change and moving to mitigate it as much as we can for our kids and grandkids.
2. democracy vs authortianship and which form of government we really want
3. human rights, esp. women's rights to their own bodies.

To me not much else matters.

Paul you have always been a leader in our class. And you continue to be. Your words are calming and wise. Bravo!

So super high inflation and American taxpayers supporting thousands of illegals doesn't matter?

10/26/24 10:05 AM #135

Gary Knodle

How's that big government working out for you in California?  Doesn't Newsom have all your issues under control?  Soon, nobody will be able to drive a gas power car,  The government seems pretty authoritarian and women can abort even after child birth. Homelessness is everywhere and illegal aliens abound. Soon they will be illegally voting. Net migration is over -400 people per day leaving Calif. Don't Californiaorize the rest of the country, especially not Texas. What did Ronald Reagan say, "I'm from the government and I'm here to help"?.

10/26/24 10:35 AM #136

Bill DeWert

Paul has a very good point about the climate. That is definitely an existential threat.

Democracy? Not so much. Do you honestly believe that "the people" would allow a dictatorship, Again...not so much. I have to disagree about women's rights to abort their babies. There's this manual that I read daily called the Bible that specifically states that God has knit us in our mother's womb. Does anyone want to dispute that...have a better Manual to follow?

Kackala also thinks it's ok for trans men (one of many genders...the Manual says two and two only) to compete against biological women in sports and the Democratic platform states that LGBTQ+xyz are all good and proper. I disagree. Is THAT women's rights? What is a woman was asked of several democrats, including a female supreme court justice...couldn't answer that. Hmmmm

The beat goes on. God bless you all...if you believe in HIm.

To my East High classmates:  For those of you who think Mr. Trump will make this country “great” again, here’s a wake up call.  He doesn’t care about the country.  He doesn’t care about you, or the welfare of your family.   To him, you’re just a number, a vote in his pocket.  He only cares about himself and his desire for political revenge and retribution.  His rhetoric about “greatness” only applies to himself.
