For all these years, I have wondered where you were and always intended to reach out some day and re-connect.  We experienced some wonderful times together, sharing music and love of out doors.  I visited you in Minneapolis and met your husband.  I remember it was so cold, you plugged in your car when you went to the hospital.  I remember picking you up from work during the summer in Rockford when you had surgery on your leg.  It all seems like yesterday.  I admired your way of pushing forward regardless of the issues at hand.  You were always so calm, so mature, so at peace with life.

You'll always be remembered.

Your friend, Mary Ellen

Dear Sandy,

You were one of the nicest people that ever came into my life.

You helped my at a very difficult time, and I will always be indebted to you for that.

I have thought of you often, thinking of how I would tell you how much your friendship meant.

My heart won't rest until I see you again.......Someday.

Mike

Sandra and I loved watching movies like Lawrence of Arabia.  Similar to so many things we shared in common, we really loved being different and walking to our own drummers.  We were going to travel to the desert and ride camels.  Well, two weeks ago, I did just that.  Standing in front of the Great Pyradmid at Giza, I bent down and stuck my fingers into the sand and remembered her so vividly.  I few tears rolled down my cheek.  Friends like Sandra come few and far between.
