Vince passed away November 20, 2012 after fighting a long illness. He is survived by his wife Helena, daughter Jennifer, son Anthony and grandchildren. Vince fought his illness with the same class, humor and doggedness that he showed his whole life. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Vince and I go back to first grade at St. Christopher's School. I have fond memories of playing various ball games on the old playground there. We always made connections at the reunions, something I looked forward to. The years since his illness started, we have met at many mini-reunions at Herb's Tavern in Rocky River. I was always amazed at the way he handled his illness with such grace, humor and determination to defeat it. It was a joy to see him on those occasions and I will miss him greatly. God bless you Vince, rest in peace.

I grew up with Vince when he lived near Beach Elementary School. My brother, Bill, played for the high school football team under Vince's father who was the coach. After Vince Senior left the coaching business, he tought geometry which he graciously passed me. Vince and I played a lot of baseball together during the summers. It was also a time when you could feel safe riding your bicycle to and from your friends house without being afraid of the preditors out there. I will always remember the kindness his parents gave me when I played at Vince's parents house as a young guy.
It is amazing how the memories of us being togther at a young age can come forth after all these years.
May God Bless Vince and please give healing to his family and friends.
