Tom O'Brien

Collete,

Wishes for a Happy Birthday today and many more to come.

Be sure to keep cool with our 100 degree temp here in San Diego, I can only imagine what it will be in the Valley.

Keep the cake cool and eat the ice cream quick.

Enjoy your day.

Collette, I hope that Thousands Oaks is well named, you could use some serious shade right now.  We hope that your birthday goes well and the year to come is all that you can make it be.  You were always someone who made things happen - have a special day.

Scotty, take it easy and get back to being as healthy as you are funny.  Humor can be a great health supplement, and you've certainly got that in abundance.  Our best wishes to you.

Tom, I'm with Dan on this, you can have my cake and ice cream, too.  We're all rooting for you, Tom, to get off the bench and back in the game where you belong

Hey, thanks to everyone and we can always use the prayers.

Hopefully they got it all from back today. Now we wait for the biopsy. Now next week they will take a small spot from my hip. This should be (excuse the pun) a piece of cake.

To Tom Scott.

I can actually say I know how your feeling. Mine was 35 years ago this month at 42.

I'm not going to blow smoke but your rehab will be tough, as I'm sure you have seen already.

You must do it and with your sense of humor you will make it through it.

Keep good thoughts and you now have a new life for the future.

If you have any questions or need to talk to someone  about what's to come,

feel free to call me at 760-607-9377. It's going to be great now.

Take care but do your work, it's for the better.

Good morning, everyone!  I just had an hour-long chat with Tom Scott!  I was glad to hear he is doing so much better.  He is still working on gaining strength in his legs, but as a former Marine, he knows how to work hard!  He still has his great sense of humor and sounded very upbeat.  He gave me permission to share his cell phone number with you and I'm sure he would love to hear from everyone. His number is: (704) 517-4852.

Enjoy your day.  Tom's sense of humor gave me something to smile about today!

Happy Birthday, Tom, with the jump shot and wicked curveball.  We all hope that you're on the way back to full recovery.  If cake and ice cream is the cure we should all follow your lead and take some "preventive medicine".

Tom O'Brien

Hey,

A big thank you to all of the birthday wishes. Who would of thought 60 years ago you would make it to 77?

Well, through all the thick and this I made it.

Results of the cancers are good. they got all of the big one and two weeks ago she got the small one too. All I have to do now is go in every two months, take off all my clothes and she gives a full body scan. this is for the next two years. she deserves a medal for looking at a 77 year old hunk of flesh. for the next two years.

Last night the chocolate cake with ganash was delicious especially with chocolate chip ice cream and chocolate syrup. Who says my sugar is high?

Mike, thanks for the memories of a jump shot and the curve ball. If you could see them now you would understand why white men can't jump, not that I could 55 years ago and that curve ball now only breaks down due to lack of strength to get it the 60 feet 6 inches.

Again thanks to all and it looks like we have some more October birthdays coming up.

Oh good, more cake and ice cream.

Everyone take care and keep kickin.

Tom, I'm sure that I speak for all of us when I say that it's terrific that the cancer has been terminated!!  You've got to feel that a heavy burden has been lifted.  Not only that, but there's a woman who wants to see you naked, often and regularly for the next two years.  We should all have some cake and ice cream in celebration - I know that I shall.  Scotty, our thoughts and hopes are with you, too.  A Merry Unbirthday to one and all.

I hope that you have another "WOW" Happy Birthday, Bonnie.  I see that your sons have inherited your wonderful smile with a little mischief behind it.  You were so quietly observant, though Jayne may dispute the "quiet" part.

A large Happy Birthday to a fellow October Birthdayer.

Wishes for your day today and for many days and tears to come.

With all those family members I hope you had a large cake and plenty scoops of ice cream.

Happy, Happy.

The birthdays just keep on coming (Thank the Good Lord!) and today we celebrate the births of a couple of lovely ladies we've been blessed to know - Sue Yowell and Kathy Chaivre.  I look forward to seeing both of you this August, but, Kathy, stop being so shy and speak up a bit.

Another great celebration for October birthdays.

Happy Birthday to both Kathy and Sue. Two top ladies of the 60's and going strong today.

May the Lord keep you strong and happy another year and many more to come.

Make sure the cakes and ice cream go to good use today and enjoy.

It has,  been awhile, and I will get to that in a minute.  Tom, we were so happy to hear your good news.  Far to many of us have been touched by cancer.   A very soecial Birthday Greeting to all the September and October  celebrents. Just remember, our favorite birthday is the next one.  Now, when we walk by the ice cream in the store we ouir fond memories make us just wave and move on.

About 4 weeks ago, my minestinia gravis decided to com back.  This time in both eyes at the same time.  It took about 10 days to get into the doctor.  This time I was given 2 more meds to add to my collection.  I am finally starting to get some short periods during the day when both eyes are open and I can see clearly.  I am starting to get some control over the eye lids.  My vision is great, I just cannot keep my eyelids up.Oh well just have to wait on the meds.

This sure put an early end to my golf season.

Dave,

I would say, keep a stiff upper lip but a stiff upper lid would be better.

Prayers are said each night for the Knights of Shrine. Saying special ones you get better soon.

Stay strong friend.

Dave, Myasthenia Gravis is, well, gravis.  I trust that there's not much pain involved but a whole lot of frustration.  We wish you a speedy and thorough recovery.  One of life's pleasures is seeing people's smiles and I hope to see your's and Barbara's this August.

Fred, are you still lurking out there?  Hope your birthday has been as terrific as the Spartans' season has been so far.  You getting to any games?  It'd be nice to see you this August, too.  You needn't play any golf, we do have some classmates show up to socialize.

Hapy Birthday to Fred.

Another October birthday to be shared with all the group.

Wishes for a great day and of course, many more to come. Enjoy the day, cake and ice cream.

Happy Birthday Doctor Randy!!   I hope you are surrounded by grandchildren with smiling faces.  Meanwhile, perhaps you could give some thought to joining us this August for a bit of golf and a whole lot of socializing.  Davison isn't so far from Pontiac and we'd like to see you.

Happy Birthday to Dr. Bork

Wishing your birthday was a good one and many more to come.

Enjoy the up-coming holidays, stay safe and hope you enjoyed your cake and ice cream.

Happy Birthday, Phil Roy, starting pitcher with such tight control.  You ought to give some thought, well, more than SOME thought, to joining us this August for some golf and socializing.  I know that you play golf, as emember you leading me astray, jumping the fence at Red Run GC with a couple of irons and a putter to sneak in a few holes.

Bob Rodofski Sullivan - how're things going back on the Auld Sod?  Inquiring minds would like to know. None of us get to see you so, please send any news to us through the Forum. I'm still working my way through the Irish phrases you sent us - lots of humor.

Merry Unbirthday to everyone else!!smiley
