Dave, we always wondered why your car was so clean. Sounds like you had a good time over there too.

Glad we all made it back in one piece.

As the saying goes, there's no place like home.

Arlene Vachon (Forrester)

Lucia and Mary, happiest of birthdays to you both!

O.B., your Nam experience, while long working hours, seems almost unreal under the circumstances! What did you do in Germany that was so unpleasant?

Mike Young, we have had 90" of snowfall so far, but it has been in quick increments then followed by 40+ degree days so that everything melts. Deciding when to get the car washed is a gamble because the slush from the melting lasts for 3 days and by then more snow is on its way! However, when the skies are very blue and the snow is very white, it is gorgeous! I have no complaints, but am ready for Spring.

I am committed to attending this year's reunion festivities. We all need to celebrate being alive to enjoy each other's company again.

Happy Birthday to Miss Lucia.

Wishes for the best day so far and for man, many more to come.

Hope the winter hasn't been too bad for you, and you were able to keep safe and warm.

Enjoy your cake, ice cream and whatever.

How are the funds for the blog?

Happy Birthday Rob Radofsky Sullivan.  May the music and craic be flowing to your enjoyment, and perhaps a Guinness, or more.  Do you get much snow on the Auld Sod?  Any chance that you will grace us with your prescence this August at our 60th Reunion?

Tom and Dave,  It is interesting to hear about your time in the service during the Vietnam War.  You make it sound almost fun with your humerous antecdotes but it surely was not!!  I'm grateful that you weren't nearer to harms way. I thank you and the rest of our veteran classmates for your service - honorable men!!

On another note,  Lucia has just renewed the website for another year for $165.  Please give her your thanks by sending her $10-20.

Happy Birthday to the best Irishman in the group.

Many wishes for the future birthdays and by tipping a few will make them each better than the last.

Normally I hope everyone on their birthday enjoys cake and ice cream, in your case I hope the beer is always cold.

Enjoy.

Dave, cool you were in signal in Nam. I was in the 93rd Signal Battalion, 7th Army (Seven steps to Hell) was the 7th Army slogan) in Germany.

Arlean, In Germany, after cook school, what I was trained for, I never cooked again and because I could type, I ended up being the Battalion commanders clerk. Ever tried typing in German?  I guess the name O'Brien helped get the job with Colonial Calahan. The only excitement there was they had a softball team and I got on it and played third base. We won the base championship and enjoyed a beer blast.

Lucia, the check is in the mail. Aren't you getting tired of all these  trips to exotic vacation spots?

Thanks for the Birthday wishes. And happy birthdays to all the Pisces this month. And a very happy un-birthday to everyone else.

I'm settling for Chocolate/Hazelnut with Oreos, then later, away to Ciaran's Pub for some craic agus ceol (socializing and music) and a few pints of Guinness. Since I'm used to a pared-down version of birthday celebrations due to being born during Lent, I'll control myself. But in two days, I'll celebrate St. Paddy's day with all the (exempt) Irish and have maybe a few-too-many pints, and way too much music and celebrating. I think we might be getting a special "Lent" dispensation from the Vatican, but not totally shure.

We got 1 inch of snow last week but it melted off in a few hours. Just cold and wet and very Green!

Mind yourselves and stay safe. Have fun in August.

Rob

Top o' the marnin' and A happy St. Patrick's Day to ye all, especially to you, Rob.  You suggested to us that we "mind" ourselves.  I'm wondering to what extent.  How much Guiness did you have on your birthday?  I figure that's where the bar is set.

Happy Birthday Joyce.

Wishes for a birthday filled with love and plenty of cake and ice cream of course.

Hope all your days are filled with joy and pleasant thoughts.

Happy Birthday Patricia

May your day be great and warm feelings from your loved ones.

Enjoy your special day and fill it with ice cream and cake.

A Happy Belated Birthday, Joyce.  We hope that it was filled with laughter and love.  I remember being your chemistry partner and you got upset because our "concoction" wasn't the same color as Mary Blanche and Mike Haggerty's - their's was just as off as ours.  Being a special ed teacher could have tried even your exceptional patience, hopefully, the rewards more than compensated for the frustration built into that noble profession.  We'd like to see you this August for our 60th Reunion.

A Happy Belated Birthday to you, too, Pat Belanger.  Laughter, love and an early Spring sounds about right along with all those grandkids to make your day delightful.  The 60th Reunion is just around the corner, hope you enhance it with your humor and smiles.

MANY, MANY THANKS, Janet for coaching me on how to get back into the Forum.

Belated Happy Birthday to Andi, our most coloful classmate.  We hope that all is well for you out there in the "land of milk and honey".  Hope to see you at our 60th reunion this August.

And a belated Happy Birthday to you, Pat, one of the world's few left-handed shortstops.  It was great to see you and the lovely Cynthia this past August.  We hope to see you both again this August for our 60th Reunion.

A Merry Unbirthday to the rest of us.  OB, I'm pretty sure that cake and ice cream should be part of our Unbirthdays.  Yes?

A Happy Birthday to Phil Anderson, Class Treasurer.  Did we ever have any $ for you to manage?  We hope to see  you this August at our 60 Year Class Reunion, and the pretty Pauline.

Judy, so glad to see you've been able to reconnect to our Forum.  We've missed you wit and insights.  Not too surprisingly, I got shut out of the Forum again this morning.  Thank you, Janet for suggeting that I make it a "favorite" -saved me a lot of trouble, not to mention troubling you and Lucia again.

Happy Birthday Rick.  You always have had that joy of life about you and a ready smile and quip for everyone.  Looking forward to seeing you and Valerie this August at our 60 year Class Reunion.  With Easter here and Lent coming to a close I'd just like to remind everyone that the ears of the chocolate bunny are traditionally the first bite.

Tom O'Brien

A Happy Birthday to Rick.

Wishes for a joyous and Happy Easter to you and your family. The day is extra special this year because it is on Easter eve.

Enjoy the chocolate and especially if the cake and ice cream are also chocolate.

It could be a chocolate overload.

04/09/23 08:27 AM #3609

Mike Young

A Happy Easter to one and all!!!  I recall when serving Mass onEaster Sunday all the Easter hats and bonnets that the ladies wore.  Sometimes the church looked like a flower garden.

As an aside, OB, the phrase "chocolate overload" is an oxymoron.  Just ask Lorrie, or any of the rest of us chocoholics.

Cheryll Suleski, have a happy birthday.  May you gofl balls lie in green pastures rather than in still waters.  But, then as I recall you do hit lots of fairways and greens, and, more importantly, you and Bob are great companions.  We hope to see you and Bob at our 60th reunion, you're not far away.

A happy birthday to you, too Jean Stariha, we hope to see you and Larry, too at the Reunion, though Thousand Oaks isn't quite around the corner.  It doesn't surprise me that you adopted Mark.  It takes very special people to do that.
