Following graduation, I attended Idaho State College, majored in Business, and enrolled in ROTC. In 1956,I married Virginia Waters and from this wonderful union came three children, 13 grandchildren,and four great-grandchildren. After graduating from college and being commissioned in the U.S.Army, I served in the following locations/positions; Ft. Bliss (ElPaso)Texas as an instructor at the Air Defense School; Ft McPherson (Atlanta) Georgia, as an Assistant Finance & Accounting Officer; Frankfurt, West Germany as Finance & Accounting Officer for ASAE; Ft Benjamin Harrison (Indianapolis), Indiana for 6 months of career development training; and finally, the Pentagon and nearby support elements in Rosslyn and Alexandria, Virginia,where I worked as a Computer Production Control Officer, an ADP System Development Analyst,and as a manager and supervisor in the Army's automated Civilian Personnel Systems Directorate. While working at the Pentagon,I did Graduate work at George Washington University, resigned my commission, and accepted a civilian position. During my 32 military and civilian years with the Army, I received many temporary assignments throughout the U.S, Europe, Middle East, and the Far East. From these assignments, I learned to really, really appreciate the good old USA. Upon retirement, Virginia and I decided to return to Idaho, where we enjoy being in a much,much smaller community closer to our family, classmates, and the golf course. I also enjoy serving my church, NARFE, Senior Center, and the Miss and Jr. Miss programs as a mentor and judge. I am really looking forward to our reunion and the opportunity of seeing all of you.
