Comments:

We got married in 1953. I Worked at
J.C. Penneys for a while, then we moved out in the Heyburn area and bought a farm. Here, I was a mother,
nurse, veterinarian, tractor driver,housewife
and any thing else that went with farming, while my husband worked for
the USDA. I learned to do ceramics during this time.I purchased a ceramic studio and opened up my own
studio. I taught ceramics at the Idaho Youth Ranch several years, during the summer months. Guess who my boss was. Al Whiting. I also, started and taught a ceramics at the Minidoka Senior Center for several years.I still do ceramics today. I managed and operated the
Rupert Canning Kitchen for 12 years.
That was one work out. I learned how
to clean boiler tubes out. From the canning kitchen, I went to work in the school district
food service after our children were
grown. I retired from the district
in 1993.
I have bowled for 48 years. Last year
the association entered me into the
Mini-Cassia Hall of Fame. What a suprise.
Bob and I did a lot of traveling during our 53yrs of marriage.
I still love to travel far and wide.

School Story:

I remeber Miss Magines(sp)wouldn't
let me go to study hall without my
shorthand book. She made that book
my bible. One day in Mr.Vances class
the boys took my shoes and threw them
out the window and Mr.Vance didn't even know what happened.I won't forget the boys that teased me when they came for lunch at the bowling alley they always tried to get me
mixed up with their orders.
