Kathy was born on June 10, 1942.  She died of a pulmonary embolus on January 10, 2007, at age 64.  She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, who live in Texas where Kathy was born.

Kathy graduated from the University of the Pacific in 1964 after which she worked as a model in New York.  She worked as a probation officer for many years in Yuba and/or Sutter County, CA, and retired in about 2000.

Kathy was an artist, often giving her paintings to friends, and she typically hand-made her Christmas cards.  She was very interested in Native American Indians and was very proud and honored to have been invited to attend some Indian ceremonies to which non Native American Indians rarely were invited.

Kathy was always upbeat and jovial.  She never married but she had many close friends and dearly loved her companion cats.  Her life was too short but she had a very interesting life that she lived to the fullest.

It's strange, everyone thought Kathylyn and I were related because we had the same last name but we weren't. Actually we barely knew each other.  I think I talked to her only one time, during our Senior year.  I asked her about her Bunyard lineage, it was not connected to mine, altho it probably was at some point way back.  I'm sorry to hear she passed away as I was hoping to talk to her more about it, since I now have information on the Bunyard lineage in the U.S. that was developed within the last 10 years by an aunt of mine.

I remember Kathy as lovely, genteel, and statuesque truly befitting a model.  She was also one of the nicest classmates, always smiling and happy.  I am sorry to read of her passing.
