Don Du Page May 21, 1942 - July 18, 2025
Don was a man of many talents. He was an avid hiker, runner, cyclist, and swimmer. If there was water nearby, he was in it. Besides his many physical activities, he was a very talented musician, playing the guitar, piano, and harmonica. Unfortunately, in the past 5 years he had many health problems related to Agent Orange from his brief time in Vietnam in the army. He never gave up and continued his walks in Seymour Park. Don will always be with me in spirit and I have many wonderful memories of the 19 years we were together.

Don was my best friend in Jr. High. We shared our hopes for having fun in the future. His were simple,
yet sage: "I want to have a long beard similar to Juaquin Miller and do things on my bike." We challenged each other in beard-growing. I easily won... years later. He did the Sierra Century bike ride in 2004, but I barely finished the Half-Century. So, he outdistanced me on that ride.
In recent times, we emailed to arrange for another ride. Like many well wishes, I'm sorry it didn't happen.
He never told me about his agent orange injury. That really sucks.
RIP, Donnie,
Rudy
