Frank Giordano Obituary

Frank Gordon Giordano Jr., a lifelong Sacramento native, passed away peacefully at the age of 84. Raised in South Land Park, Frank graduated from C.K. McClatchy High School in 1960 before serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Benner (DDR-807) during a tour in Southeast Asia. He later earned degrees from Sacramento City College and San Francisco State University.

Frank dedicated much of his career to the State of California, working as a land agent and retiring from the Wildlife Conservation Board as Chief Land Agent. He also served 20 years with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Reserves, achieving the rank of lieutenant.

An avid outdoorsman, Frank loved hunting with his bird dogs, fishing California's high mountain lakes and streams, and hunting and fishing trips to Alaska with friends. He will be remembered for his devotion to family, lifelong friendships, and countless stories shared over a glass of red wine or a vodka soda with a twist of lime.

Frank is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eve; children, Gina (Brian) and Tony (Melinda); sister, Chris; and grandchildren, Sierra, Eva, Myla, Colton, and Jonah.

Sad to hear that Frank passed away. It was a pleasure knowing him at Joaquin Miller and at C.K. McClatchy. He was such a handsome, nice guy! Please rest in peace.
