This beautiful message from Ardine originally was published on Facebook and included the following note:  “Ardine passed from a brain bleed on 12/09/25.  A celebration of life will be held in the spring.  Respectfully and lovingly shared by LeiLani.

“What a full life I’ve lived.  I know I am blessed to have walked this earth for 82 years.  I was born and raised in Sacramento, CA by parents who worked hard to make a better life for my brother Ken and me.  Attending San Francisco State in the early 60’s opened my eyes and my mind to questioning many of the conventions of the 50’s and I’ve questioned conventional wisdom ever since.

I had a great ride in education from 1965–1998, enjoying a variety of positions.  Following my heart, I left education and returned to school at 56 years old to earn a Doctor of Ministry.  This opened so many new doors for me including my work as a Spiritual Director.

What made this life so rich for me were family, friends, mentors, and companions I’ve had along the way.  I invite all of my friends and family to join in a celebration of life.  Raise a toast to this miracle called life – laugh, reminisce, and touch each other’s hearts. . . .”  Ardine
