Oh John. You were a pistol! So smart, so funny and so fun-loving! You seemed to live every single day to the fullest and more...

In our brainiac lunch group junior year, several of us loved the ceremonial absurdity of the TV sitcom “Green Acres,” and John usually led the way recounting the silliest highlights.

Seeing John was a highlight of the fabled 20th reunion. I think he knew he didn’t have long to live, and I regret not having known sooner that he had been living in the Bay Area.

This death makes me so sad. I agree with Jan. John was such an upbeat, fun-loving guy. He was always ready with a smile and a hug.

I was a good friend of Johns.  We were in band together both at Judson and South High. We also picked beans together. I even visited him once at his apartment in Berkeley. The last time I saw him was at the 20 year South reunion. I was shocked when I heard about his death at such a young age. I only learned the year when I saw the obit for his mother. We both had trouble in physics class senior year. Wish he was still around.
