Hi Lee;
Happy birthday to you. I remember you as a fine, decent person. Hope all is well!
Prior to attending South High Mr.Blackhurst was my English teacher at Horace Mann Jr. High. He was a dynamic instructor, whose class I looked forward to. To be sure, he was firm--always expectig the most from us, but fair and understanding.
South High was truly fortunate to have him as a faculty member.
He was a committed person, generously supporting the communityand providing spiritual leadership to others, without calling attention to himself.
I was sadded about his death. He was a gentleman who made the world a better place. He will be missed.
Dean--Happy birthday and be proud of your considerable accomplishments
Wayne---Your thoughtful comment meant a great deal to me. I hope all is well with you and your family. It seems only yesterday you were a cheer leader. To say the least, I've always admired you. Kind regards.
Southern California is rich with colorful people. Check out Barbi Orr interviewing a few of them on a Saturday morning at Venice Beach. Enjoy!

Do you enjoy sunshine and the car of your dreams------check out the attached short video!
Hi John, and Happy upcoming birthday. I have many fond memories of you---the visits up to Brighton, whereby a certain member of our group wouldn't pay his share--the time we were inside the car at the Pizza Palace and were surrounded by the "Pendleton gang", at which time we all locked the doors simultaneously---apparently the car full of girls with whom we were inside with were their girl friends...and the times in my Model A when you rode in the rumble seat with the raccoon coat, visits up to the Ave's to Liz Dutson's home following the Friday night football games and so much more. I hope this finds you well along with your brother Pat and sisters. Lynn Daw said you have aged very well. God bless you John!!
