After graduation, I went to school and worked full-time. Started out as a Journalism major, changed to Elementary Education (Liberal Studies), and ultimately ended up a Criminal Justice major. Although I never ended up in the field, I have always been fascinated with anything related to the field. I have worked with children, primarily in Education, and for 15 years, with the County of San Diego in Child Protective Services. I was fortunate enough to have been able to travel throughout Europe for 6 weeks in 1983. I also traveled to Canada, as well as the Northwestern and Southwestern portion of the United States. I lost my mom to cancer in 1987. I have been married for almost 20 years, and, although I always dreamed of a huge family, I was blessed with one daughter. I also have a step-son, and I have raised my nephew for a number of years and I consider him to be my own. I still can't believe it's been almost 30 YEARS!!! Glad to be in contact with friends and classmates from back in the day!! :)
