Since high school I have.....
Had 2 kids.....taught HeadStart in Atascadero for about 5 years. Then in 1999, my children and I moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin. It was kind of scary leaving CA, but it was the best move I could have ever made! After moving here, I again worked at HeadStart. Then I began teaching preschool in a local non-profit childcare center. I taught there for several years until moving on to teach in a brand new daycare. A few months later, I was given the opportunity to be the Director of this daycare, and have loved almost every moment of it! LOL, it's not an easy job to be in charge of 50 kids and the staff! I work at least 12 hrs a day, but the job is very rewarding, and I can't imagine doing anything else!
My Son, Derek is currently deployed to Iraq. He should be heading home soon, and we can't wait to see him again! He and his wife are looking forward to spending lots of time getting to know eachother better, and making a wonderful life for themselves!
My Daughter, Erika, graduates next week! I am very proud of her! She has come a long way from the rebellious teen that she once was! She volunteers at the daycare that I run, and is planning on pursuing a career in teaching.
So, as my last child "leaves the nest", I am looking forward to the next chapter in my life! I've spent 20 years raising my children, and now it's time to begin doing the things that I'VE always wanted to do! I wonder where I should begin?????
