Rob died of melanoma about 10 years ago. Left two little boys and his wife behind. A sad loss for all of us. I think about him every day. Taking such a bright light from this world was a tragedy.

Rob and I were close growing up. He lived on Los Ranchitos Rd. and I lived in the Meadows. In the 6th Rob had this huge horse named Buck. We decided to go bareback riding one day and Buck had a mind of his own and took of with me on him. Well as you can guess I fell off the horse and broke my arm in three places. The only problem was, it was my left arm and not my right. Which means I still could homework.

We would argue about bands like the Beatles and the Beach Boys. We both liked the tv show the Man from U.N.C.L.E". Great show. Just came out on DVD.

Anyhow Rob, those were good times and I remember them fondly. Take care of yourself.

I caught back up with Robbie when I walked into his bookstore in San Anselmo. We spent a lot of time laughing about those high school days. I miss him.

I went to his memorial service in Fairfax. He left two beautiful sons, along with his widow, who was running their bookstore.

The toughest day I had in high school was racing him in a 440 when he was on the cross country team, and I was on the football team. It was a sprint. It was one of the only A's I got in high school - Freshman P.E. with Mr. O'Bailey.

Robbie was my very first boyfriend in High School.  We were the same height and had the same color hair.  Everywhere we went around the school we would be holdings hands and everyone told us how cute we were.  I guess it was because we were both so short.  He was such a wonderful person and even after we broke up, we remained friends.  We saw each other at our 10 year reunion and it felt so warm and wonderful to see him again.

I will miss you Robbie!
