I am very sad to hear of Kate's passing. She was a wonderful creative and resourceful woman who took on life with great spirit. She will be missed by all whom she touched. My heart goes out to her children and grandchildren. Kate will live on as we remember to interact with others with the kindness and understanding she so often brought. Rest In Peace, Kate.

Such a shock, She seemed to be doing great at the 50+1 Reunion. So glad we got to touch base there. I remember the fun & laughs we had in the costume shop. Katie was a great seamstress & I didn't feel she judged others with unrealistic ezpectations. High school was tough for all. Condolences to all her family .

I was so delighted to see Kathy/Kate at the reunion. We only spent a short time talking but agreed to get together at some point when I was back in the Bay Area. I've just moved back and saw Judy's posting. I am stricken with remorse that I did not see her. I have wonderful memories of her during Campfire Girls. She always made me feel I belonged. Really gone too soon.

This was a shock! I always remember Katie and Judy as pleasant people to talk to...They made me laugh. One time years ago I saw Katie out at the beach in Bodega Bay. I went there with an outdoor Ed group of 7th graders...Our school bus pulled up and I heard this loud shout out..."Leta Edde!". Katie walked over to me and said what are you doing? I told her we had 60 7th graders on the bus and we were staying for two nights, camping...She said well I guess we will be moving on...We talked for quite awhile...We both were shocked to run into each other...Judy you and your sister always put a smile on my face...My heart hurts for you...Leta Edde

Oh No!

I am shocked by this terrible news. Kate had just posted the day earlier on Facebook. She often posted lovely photos or images. I painted one image she posted, so I will always remember her by it. A few years ago, Kate contacted me as I had had knee replacement and she was in need of one as well. We shared our experiences and compared notes through her surgery and recovery. I am so terribly sorry for Judy and the entire family. I know Kate had 3 children and she was wonderful mother to them, as well as her grandchildren. Rest In Peace Kate, you will be missed.
