Dixie, there is no cost for individual classmates to use the web site, but there is a yearly cost involved for maintaining it. I have already had a couple of individuals say they would be willing to contribute. It costs about $100 a year to maintain, but you get a price break for extended periods. For example: If I can get 5 people to donate $20 a piece, a year is paid for. If I can get 10 people to donate about $40 a piece, that would cover 5 years.

Randy,
I so appreciate all your hard work you are doing on this website. Everyone I know who has been here enjoys it tremendously, and we all say thanks to you.
It helps get us excited about the reunion. My committee is hard at work on the program. Hope everyone likes what we come up with.

Katherine, I went to great extremes to hide the "Message Forum" from you. LOL

Actually, I'm glad you finally found it!

Now you have no excuses for not participating on a regular basis.

Other than politics (I steer away from that!), I will bombast you with e-mails. LOL

Happy New Year to all Classmates,

Just wanted to wish you all a very healthy, happy and prosperous New Year...It has been so great to be in touch with classmates through out this year...to be able to support those who need support in all different ways...let's be very mindful of being a blessing to someone else every day if the opportunity arises....count our own blessings and share with others. Keep in touch and share any needs we might have for others to help us with....

Looking forward to seeing as many as can possibly come to our Beach Blast Reunion next May 19th, 2012....We will be planning some fun things and mostly just relaxing at the beach..

Again Happy New Year,   Carolyn Foushee Byrd

I just received a message from Wilson Womble saying that Ben Avent died today. We went together for several years in high school and college. He went on to be an airline pilot and, although he did not smoke, his copilots did. Ben had lung cancer. Thanks to this website we reconnected over the last 3 months so I knew he was sick. He was a wonderful man. Blessings to you Ben and to your family, Libby Wallace Marsh

  Hello Classmates,

Just want to let everyone know that we will be getting out some hotel information on the website in January....We are hoping that you will start getting your reservations in for May 18th-Friday night's social and May 19th Saturday's Reunion on the Beach as soon as possible. We want a big crowd since it will be our first out of town reunion.  We will be setting a cut-off date and you don't want to miss out. Remember you can view all the scheduled events on the website and those who have already signed up and we will add your name as the reservations come it....SO PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO BE APART OF THIS FUN WEEK-END.....call a classmate and encourage them to sign up.

Happy Thanksgiving to all and may God Bless you with good health and happiness.

OK all you 1960 Graduates....We need you to come to the SCHS BEACH BLAST..Remember these are the Golden Years and we have to make hay while we are still able to do so....and if you don't want to make hay then we will certainly make fun and renew friendships with our fellow Yellow Jackets.... We can't depend to have 5 year Reunions now, we might miss out on a chance to hug a classmate...So get it in gear and make your commitment.  We want you to be a part of our beach party....Now do I have to call you?  I will....Ha.

Me Again,

Just wanted to thank all those who made the effort to come to the 70th Birthday Party/Beach Blast on May 18th and 19th at Wrightsville Beach.  It was great to see everyone and all were looking GREAT for their 70th Birthday, I know some of us haven't gotten there yet but it's just around the corner.

We had lots of fun, food and fellowship and some VERY REAL OR UNREAL stories told but they were all a creation of laughter right down to our blue teeth and mouths from the  Blue and Gold Birthday cake...hope someone got a picture of that.

Just Know that you who couldn't make it were missed up until the third class of wine..Ha.  So for you guys, have a wonderful 70th Birthday when it happens.

Sunshine and hugs from Carolyn

Tom and I so wanted to attend but he recently had surgery and was unable to travel. I thought about you all and knew you were having a blast. Maybe next time we will be able to see everyone. I loved seeing the pictures you posted especially of Freda who remains in my daily prayers. Blessings to all, Libby Wallace Marsh

You should know by now....There are a few things in life that are unfixable!

Your golf game just happens to be one of them.  Have you considered going back to tennis?   LOL

The current 10/18/17 Photo of the Week fails to mention that our board/web master and wife were cordially invited to partake in the breaking of bread with the couples shown. By the way, the three guys spent a good part of Saturady crusing Sanford and surrounding area reminising about the "good old days" and all the stupid fun things we did. We even went out to Forest Hills and drove roller coster road but at 35 MPH rather than 60 MPH.

What happened to good old Sanford Central High? I could not believe the changes made to that place. Funny what can happen in the years since I last went by, a totally new school!!

I guess I need to defend myself and Anne. surprise

Yes, we WERE invited, but only because I was trying to get up with Glenn and finally did.

AND...the invitation came about an hour before their dinner and we live in Chapel Hill. It was impossible!

You see... I told you those 3 guys were trouble.  LOL

Thank you, those of you who knew about it and who prayed regularly for Hailey.  I think your prayers brought her home.  For those of you who don't know,  Hailey, my them- 16 year old granddaughter,  got herself into a real bad situation. She was missing for over a year, the FB I was involved and we were all living every parent's worst nightmare.  2016 was awful.  She was found and set free on June 23 of this year, and is  being treated for PTS D by a wonderful specialist who works for the FBI.  She is healing.  Thank God and thank you for your prayers.  I can testify that they work!!  Love to you all!!  Helen Anne
